13 November 2024 Eight international aid groups said Tuesday that Israel has failed to meet US demands for greater humanitarian access to the war-ravaged Gaza Strip, where hunger experts say the north may already be experiencing famine.  However, the Biden administration said Tuesday it won't limit weapons transfers to Israel because the US says its key ally has done good but limited progress in increasing the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza. 13 November 2024 Oil giant Shell has succeeded in overturning a landmark 2021 court ruling that ordered it to cut CO2 emissions by 45 percent from 2019 levels by 2030. The appeals court in The Hague said that while companies like Shell had the responsibility to contribute to mitigating climate change, there was not enough consensus in climate science on a specific reduction percentage to impose on them.
