An insight into the past of defected foreign minister Moussa Koussa, who is now in the UK.In one of the highest-level defections that occur in the environment of the ruling, the Foreign Minister of the regime of Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, Moussa Kousser, left the government in Tripoli and fled to London.
U.S. authorities meanwhile, Kousser defined desertion as "highly significant" and an example of growing divisions within the Libyan government. Kousser was a close confidant of Gadhafi and served as intelligence chief for more than a decade.
