Development

Initially the film was rumored to have Karthik Sivakumar in the lead role. However, it was later officially announced that Silambarasan Rajendar would play the lead in the film and was replaced by Jeeva. The lead female role was initially supposed to be enacted by Tamannaah Bhatia, who was replaced by actress Radha'sKarthika Nair.
