Well I replied to her letter out of courtesy in it turned out the she came from Botswana but was currently living in Senegal and not in New York! as given on her profile at www.livedatesearch.com

A reply came back almost by return inviting me to phone here even though I had indicated that I was really not interested, especially in view of the paperwork required for visas. She did not address me by my name just "Dear".

Was this a standard letter I asked myself?

I replied that I was not interested, especially as there could be someone else on the scene for me.

She came back, not taking no for an answer, addressing me as "Dear" with no Christian name again, saying that her late father had deposited her money in a bank in Senegal and that "Senegalese law does not allow a refugee to operate and account,so I want trusted somebody that will stand and claim the money on my behalf, ... "

Checking back at www.livedatesearch.com I found that her profile had been removed. Had someone reported a scam or abuse?
