Abu Dhabi 2024 saw Carlos Sainz finally reborn as a Williams driver, with the 30-year-old F1 hot-shot swapping red for white at a postseason filming day - and then test - at Yas Marina Circuit. The switched-on Spaniard had done his best to memorise all the Ferrari SF-24’s critical details during the closing laps of last year’s season finale so that he could make a close comparison to the Williams.

After US President Donald Trump blind sided Ukraine and NATO by announcing plans to hold direct talks with Russia over a peace deal in Ukraine, both NATO leader Mark Rutte and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky insisted on Thursday that any peace talks must include Ukraine.
The previous day, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth appeared to make concessions to Russia at a NATO meeting in Brussels, calling it "unrealistic" to return Ukraine to its pre-2014 borders.
