With the anti-Assad unrest crippling Syria's economy and the death toll among civilians rising, King Abdullah urged Assad to go to make way for political reforms.
Syria's suspension from the Arab league has also come as a blow to Assad who has always seen himself as a champion of Arab unity.To make matters worse Syrian opposition figures are to meet League leaders today.

سورية يبدو في عزلة متزايدة بعد ان العاهل الاردني الملك عبد الله أصبح أول زعيم عربي على دعوة الرئيس السوري بشار الاسد الى التنحي.
مع الاقتصاد الاضطرابات المناهضة لسوريا الاسد ويشل عدد القتلى في صفوف المدنيين في الارتفاع ، وحث الملك عبد الله الأسد للذهاب لافساح الطريق لاجراء اصلاحات سياسية.
لقد حان تعليق سوريا من الجامعة العربية أيضا بمثابة ضربة لالأسد الذي رأى نفسه دائما باعتباره بطلا للunity.To العربية مما زاد الطين بلة شخصيات المعارضة السورية ومن المقرر ان يجتمع قادة الرابطة اليوم.
