Anyone following my blog on Formula 1 should have picked up the body language between the two McLaren drivers and I was very interested to read after the British Grand Prix an article on Ron Dennis.
Dennis made sure that he praised double world champion Fernando Alonso, 14 points behind Hamilton in the championship and third in Saturday's qualifying, as much as the local hero.
Alonso, now outqualified for four races in a row by his precocious team mate, had looked every bit as downcast as his employer as reporters fired question after question at Hamilton.
"If I start eulogising about anybody, I would probably start with Fernando," said Dennis.
"He's a double world champion who really gets on with the job and is very focused and really has an intense desire to win. With Lewis it is easy to eulogise about his performance because he is new to Formula One. But I want to be balanced."
Personally I am getting a bit fed up with Lewis Hamilton been pushed down my throat by the media and maybe coming third today may have brought Lewis Hamilton down to reality. A great driver yes, but then so are the other top 3 contenders and maybe if BMW and Renault can find more speed and Toyota more reliability there could be a ten way battle, not forgetting Williams, Honda and Red Bull that are improving

Unklejam gave me goose pimples - usually means that they are going to be a big hit
Unklejam is a UK band formed by Tyson Speede, Bobby Joel Stearns and Adonistar. Their sound is a mixture of Electro, R&B and soul with influences ranging from P-funk to Prince and Sly and the Family Stone. The band are signed to Virgin Records.

Dutch paper tipped off about Madeleine McCann
Leading Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf has received an anonymous letter containing clues regarding the whereabouts of the missing British girl Madeleine McCann. Police are taking the letter very seriously, because it was apparently written by the same person who last year sent a letter providing the exact location of the two murdered Belgian girls Stacey and Nathalie.

The recent letter says Madeleine can be found in Portugal, not far from the hotel room she was abducted from on 3 May this year. It says that she lies buried "north of the road under branches and rocks, around six to seven metres off the road" in a barren and deserted hilly landscape.
Crosses on a map that came with the letter show the location of her body. De Telegraaf has handed the letter over to Dutch police who will hand it over to detectives in Portugal.
What sort of person are we dealing with here? Is society getting worse with the abduction Madeleine McCann (and hopefully not worse), of with the stabbing of a policeman in Luton England yesterday? Crime and terrorism is reported on a daily, even hourly basis. Is the world deteriorating rapidly?
How can the person responsible live with himself? What would you do to this person? If she is alive why does the person not just leave her on the doorstep of their nearest police station?

Nigeria. How can you expect western aid from the G8?
Britain advised all its nationals yesterday to leave three states at the heart of Nigeria's southern Niger Delta, Africa's top oil-producing region, where violence against foreigners has become commonplace.
The advice came as the Supreme Court refused bail for a former militia leader whose detention has fuelled the unrest, raising pressure on newly inaugurated President Umaru Yar'Adua to address the causes of a crisis which has crippled exports.
Kidnappings, armed robberies and other attacks have risen in Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers states - home to the bulk of Nigerian oil output and the local arm of Royal Dutch Shell - and these are unsafe for Britons, the Foreign Office said
"We therefore advise British nationals to leave. If you stay, you do so at your own risk," it said on its website.
On a personal level I am still being plagued by Nigerian scam e-mails - up to 50 a day. How can you respect these people? I understand that plain clothes police are going into internet cafes to arrest these criminals that use the Nigerian 'advanced fee' or '419' fraud (named after the relevant section of the Nigerian Criminal Code). There are myriad schemes and scams - mail, faxed and telephone promises designed to part victims from their money. All involve requests to help move large sums of money with the promise of a substantial share of the cash in return. Individual monetary losses can range from the low thousands into multi-millions. But the true figures are often impossible to ascertain, because many victims, embarrassed by their naiveté and feeling personally humiliated and do not report the crime to the authorities. It might help if there was a website where these scams could be reported to and that they were then investigaged!
If in doubt you can always type the writers name or company into the Google Search Engine and it will in most cases expose the scam. For example in our article dated Wednesday, May 30, 2007 we listed 10 examples. Type this one in "donation_claimoffice@yahoo.it" and you will see that it exposes the scam.

Flying Saucer (Ovni) sighting over Málaga Spain?
I had this e-mail from a friend this morning.
"Last night I woke up at 3:40 to make a bathroom stop. Walked out on my terrace and above the airport, but very high in the sky, was an amazing sight. There was a red glowing object up there about half the size of the moon. At first it appeared to be moving slowly but hen stayed in one place for several minutes. The color was like a fire but a bit redder than that. At first I thought it might be a weather balloon reflecting back the sun, but at 3:40 in the morning, the sky was completely black so there was no sun up there to reflect.
Went into the small room up and grabbed a pair of binoculars. Well they magnified the object but did not aid in my knowledge of what it was. So I put back the binoculars and went out to watch it again. It appeared to be getting smaller and smaller while still staying approximately in the same place. And finally, it just vanished completely. Never before have I seen such a sight and I hope that the newspapers will report today what it was because I am sure that others also must have seen it."

Prostate Cancer (personal)
Yesterday I drove down to the University Hospital of Malaga Carlos Haya for my appointment with my oncologist. He assured me that with an original PSA value under 10 that the cancer had not spread anywhere else, but having seen my sister die a few years earlier from metastasis (originating from the Esophagus) and a friend dying when I was a just starting my radio therapy treatment it is obviously difficult not to worry about the spread of the disease when you have symptoms that could be cancer.
Cancer gives you no symptoms or signs that exclusively indicate the disease. Every complaint for cancer can explain a harmless condition as well. If you have symptoms, however, you should see a doctor for further evaluation. Some common symptoms are : Click this link A couple of weeks ago visiting friends asked me about my attitude and I said cautious. I did not want to be positive to the point of being over optimistic. I recognize that I could be on borrowed time and that this has been a "wake up call". (In the United States, cancer of the prostate is a common malignant cancer in men, second only to lung cancer. About 200,000 new cases are diagnosed each year, and about 30,000 men die of the disease each year). I have never smoked and maybe had a glass of wine a day, but now I hardly drink and am eating more healthily. I appreciate being alive and really would love to see the trees that I have lovingly grow much larger. There is a particular plant that I have vowed that I will plant in my garden, one for every further year that I am allowed to enjoy here "Cotinus Coggyria (Royal Purple)". On reflection maybe I should have written a blog during my 40 sessions of treatment? The treatment was not painful, but the after effects have only just receded, the treatment having finished on 5 December 2006. The staff at the University Hospital of Malaga Carlos Haya were marvelous, as were my fellow patients, so much so that tears came to my eyes as I drove away after my last treatment as I listened to Nelly Furtado´s - In Gods Hands, - Wait for You and All Good Things (come to an end). They could not have given me a better Christmas present and I am so grateful to the Spanish Social Security. My treatment, as promised had started within 2 months of being diagnosed, ok one day earlier and since that date I have read that they are going to bring this down to one month in the future in their fight against this disease. Whilst undergoing treatment I did quite a bit of research and decided to publish a page on the pomegranate and its use against prostate cancer. Yesterday my oncologist was pleased with my progress the PSA having come down to 0,17% from 0,21% three months earlier so my next control will be in 6 months time. Obviously there will be a control for the next four and a half years. With 3 months medication it had been brought down to 4% but after 3 months without medication it had risen to 6.3% by July 2006 - T2a and a Gleeson Value of 5 were the results of a biopsy. All were surprised by these results known in August 2006. links
Did I have any prostate problem symptoms? No it was just a regular annual blood test and keeping on top of my health that brought the problem to light. The highest PSA in 2005 was 8.4% but the tumor was not malignant.
