Rolls-Royce is to hand £1.2bn to shareholders after the engineering giant’s chief executive smashed his profit targets two years early.

Tufan Erginbilgic on Thursday said the business was moving “with pace and intensity” as he stormed past a milestone previously pegged for 2027.

London’s O2 arena was the centre of the motorsport world last week, with Formula One putting on a spectacular group launch event to celebrate its milestone 75th anniversary season in style. The show itself was a feast for the eyes, and ears, with sonic chameleon mgk up first - before British comedian Jack Whitehall took over as host, though he had no troubles roasting the sport.

The US and Ukraine have agreed on the terms of a draft minerals deal central to Kyiv's push to win Washington's support as President Donald Trump seeks to rapidly end the war with Russia, sources with knowledge of the matter have said.

Trump also told reporters that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to come to Washington on Friday to sign a "very big deal."

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he wants to begin selling gold cards for $5 million to foreigners who want to move to the U.S. and create jobs.

Trump said the immigration program, which he said was legal, could start in about two weeks. He added it is possible Russian oligarchs could qualify for the gold cards. FRANCE 24's Fraser Jackson reports from Washington.
