"They're particularly worried about this Durov guy and that just raises red flags everywhere." Russia's major efforts to get Pavel Durov released after his arrest in Paris is a major red flag, warns Bill Browder highlighting that the Telegram boss was supposedly an enemy of the Kremlin.
Pavel Valeryevich Durov (Russian: Па́вел Вале́рьевич Ду́ров; born 10 October 1984) is a Russian-born French and Emirati business executive, entrepreneur, and investor who is a co-founder and the chief executive officer of Telegram Messenger Inc. and a co-founder of social networking site VK (short for its original name VKontakte; Russian: ВКонтакте, meaning InContact). Since 2021, he has held citizenship in four countries.

Independent Journalist Antony Loewenstein has called for a ceasefire in Gaza saying the situation in the region is “utterly unhealthy”. “What Hezbollah has said for months and months … until there is a ceasefire in Gaza this would continue,” Mr Loewenstein said. “The current situation is so utterly unhealthy. “There needs to be a ceasefire in Gaza which Israel refuses to do.”
