http://www.euronews.net/ The US Navy has said it will not allow one of the world's most important oil trade routes to be disrupted, following a threat by Iran to stop ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

A spokesperson for the Fifth Fleet, based in Bahrain, said the free flow of goods and services through the channel was vital to regional and global prosperity.

About 40 percent of the world's oil-tanker trade goes through the Strait of Hormuz, which links the numerous oil producing countries of the Gulf to the outside world.

http://www.euronews.net/ Turkey has reached agreement with Russia to allow a pipeline to be built under the Black Sea to transport Russian gas to Europe.

The deal, removing a major obstacle to the South Stream project, was signed in Moscow after talks involving both countries' governments and energy companies.

It follows prolonged deadlock between Russia and Turkey over the proposed route which runs through Turkish territorial waters.

Reggio Calabria 28 dicembre 2011 - A conclusione di una complessa ed articolata attività d'indagine, condotta dalla Squadra Mobile di Reggio Calabria e dal Commissariato di P.S. di Palmi (RC), coordinata dalla Direzione Distrettuale Antimafia di Reggio Calabria, nell'ambito del procedimento penale nr. 4508/06 R.G.N.R. D.D.A., personale della Sezione Criminalità Organizzata e della Divisio d'Investigacio Criminal dei Mossos d'Esquadra di Barcellona (S), hanno proceduto alla cattura in territorio spagnolo, nella città di Barcellona, del pericoloso latitante:

GALLICO Carmelo, alias "U Picu", nato a Palmi (RC) il 12.09.1963, che all'atto della cattura era colpito da Mandato di Arresto Europeo (M.A.E.), emesso in data 22 dicembre 2011, a seguito dell'Ordinanza di Misura Cautelare personale N. 4508/06 R.G.N.R. D.D.A., nr. 2815/07 R.G.I.P. e nr. 94/11 R.O.C.C. emessa in pari data dal Tribunale di Reggio Calabria - Sezione GIP-GUP per il reato di associazione per delinquere di stampo mafioso ed intestazione fittizia di beni ex art. 12 quinquies Legge n. 356 del 1992 aggravato dall'art. 7 L. n. 203 del 1991 per aver agevolato con la sua condotta la cosca di appartenenza.

Nello specifico, il GALLICO dovrà rispondere di aver fatto parte, con ruolo di direzione, all'associazione di tipo mafioso denominata 'ndrangheta ed in particolare alla sua articolazione territoriale denominata 'ndrina GALLICO, operante nel comune di Palmi, a sua volta inserita nel territorio compreso nella fascia tirrenica della provincia reggina e, contestualmente, di aver intestato fittiziamente alla ZENAS L.L.C. (società off-shore con sede in Wilmington-Delaware negli Stati Uniti d'America) beni immobili, situati nel Comune di Palmi e corrispondenti complessivamente a 69.617 metri quadrati, formalmente intestati ai coniugi SURACE Giuseppe e MELISSARI Grazia, ma di fatto appartenenti alla cosca GALLICO, il tutto al fine di eludere le disposizioni di legge in materia di misure di prevenzione patrimoniali
