USA - Republican rivals talk tough on foreign policy

Published on Nov 13, 2011 by
http://www.euronews.net/ Rivals for the Republican nomination to run for US President next year took a tough line in a televised debate on foreign policy.

Front-runner Mitt Romney saved some of his strongest rhetoric for Iran's nuclear ambitions.

"One thing you can know, and that is if we re-elect Barack Obama, Iran will have a nuclear weapon, and if we elect Mitt Romney, if you elect me as the next president, they will not have a nuclear weapon," he declared.

Aries (Mar21/Apr20) You're a hard worker who can do the work of three people. Beware of becoming totally obsessed with your job. You're better off channelling your energy into a variety of activities, like sports, exercise, and hobbies. The more balanced you are, the happier you will be. Control your temper with a colleague who can't perform up to your standards. You bring valuable things to the table, like a calming influence and nurturing attitude.

Taurus (Apr21/May21) Studying a subject you love gives you a new lease on life. Although you're not a fast learner, you never forget a skill or fact once you've acquired it. Right now, using your artistic talent to create beautiful environments is your greatest passion. Whether this means studying landscape design, interior decorating, or Feng Shui is immaterial. The important thing is you find an outlet for this impulse. Your studies can launch a lucrative career, or at least a very enjoyable hobby.
 .
Gemini (May22/Jun21) Your finances are improving, but you must work to protect them. A friend or organisation will ask for a significant loan, but you'll have to refuse. To an outsider, you seem pretty prosperous. In reality if you work very hard for your money. Giving your income away will just force you to redouble your efforts. You're better off putting your earnings into an interest bearing account, so you'll be able to work less and enjoy life more. True friends will understand your situation.
 .
Cancer (Jun22/Jul23) The nice thing about being moody is you can sometimes be happy for no reason at all. This is one of those occasions! Baking a cake, painting a room, or planning a garden will heighten your pleasure. If there's anything you love, it's making your home more attractive and comfortable. Friends and family appreciate your contributions, and might encourage you to start your own business. There's no reason you should push papers when you could be cultivating beauty.
                                        .
Leo (Jul24/Aug23) A strong desire for home and hearth causes you to withdraw from public life. When work becomes too stressful, you know you can rely on family to recharge your batteries. If you're thinking of moving, you could find a nice, secluded spot for a good price. Getting advance knowledge of a sale will give you an edge on the competition. Don't be afraid to put in an early bid. Are you happy where you are? Think about treating yourself to a few of life's little luxuries.
 .
Virgo (Aug24/Sep23) Spending time with friends boosts your energy, even if you're an introvert. You go through cycles of sociability and seclusion. Right now, you need to enjoy the company of like minded people. A friend will give you a movie or book recommendation; be sure to follow it. You've been blessed with a strong intellect, and need to stimulate it with new ideas and different perspectives. Don't be surprised if you're inspired to write a book or screenplay. Your writing talent can't be suppressed.
 .
Libra (Sep24/Oct23) Being recognised for your contributions is becoming increasingly important. In the past, you were happy to help your employer develop products, attract clients, and garner attention. As time went by you started to feel used. Getting a percentage of the profits, higher salary, and a more prominent position seems fair. If that's not forthcoming, you may want to get another job or start your own business. You'll be a success wherever you land, thanks to your considerable talent.
 .
Scorpio (Oct24/Nov22) Strong and controversial opinions get you into hot water. You're not diplomatic, and you won't coddle people's egos. Unfortunately, a lot of your relatives are thin skinned and can't handle the truth. At some point, you must decide what is more important: having a relationship or being real. There is a middle ground. Resist the urge to focus on the negative aspects of people's personalities. By accentuating the positive, you'll form deeper connections to the people you love.
 .
Sagittarius (Nov23/Dec21) Helping colleagues comes naturally to you. You have a vast array of talents, and will use them to make others look better. This generous attitude is always rewarded. People recommend you for plum positions and offer fabulous discounts. If you're looking for work, you fill find clients through a series of recommendations. A job in property, luxury goods, or art will be very lucrative. Your duties won't be terribly stimulating, but they'll put you in contact with really interesting clients.
 .
Capricorn (Dec22/Jan20) Your nurturing side is incredibly attractive. It's easy for you to get along with people from all walks of life, because you know how to make them comfortable. If you are in a relationship, this would be a great time to do something special for your amour. Put your needs on the backburner and let your lover take the lead. You'll enjoy this change of pace, especially in the bedroom. Single? You will meet someone special at a cooking class, furniture store, or home viewing.
 .
Aquarius (Jan21/Feb19) Be as diplomatic as possible when dealing with a scatterbrained relative or neighbour. Although their inability to make a commitment is frustrating, nothing you do or say will change their behaviour. By maintaining a polite but chilly distance, you'll avoid putting undue stress on this relationship. Still, you can't afford to break things off altogether. Too many people would be hurt by an angry outburst. Being part of a community means having to tolerate some annoying people.
 .
Pisces (Feb20/Mar20) Dreams have always sustained you through the difficult times. When you have something to work towards, you avoid unhealthy distractions. Don't beat yourself up if you haven't achieved your goals yet. By developing a practical plan, complete with deadlines, you'll get progress. Fortunately, friends and family are squarely behind you. Turn to them for support when you're discouraged. They know how to motivate you, and won't let you give up on your best laid plans.
