Love From Beyond...

A reading heals grief
Source: California Psychics

Sometimes a psychic's experience during a reading can be as fascinating and mesmerizing as the client's. There can be profound learning experiences about life and the afterlife, and the everlasting nature of love, explains Darcy ext. 9488, a Channel Medium. She confides that even after giving readings for 30 years, it still surprises her when the unexpected occurs during a call.

Early one afternoon, the psychic relates, she recognized the smooth, low, friendly voice of a caller who gave his name as Julian (not his real name). He had consulted with her once before regarding his career. A working actor in New York with psychic abilities and the gift of prophetic dreams, Julian wondered, "With jobs harder to come by, several friends have asked if I would do paid in-depth readings for them, but I just don't know. There are so many reasons not to do it - and reasons to do it. I don't really need the money, and I don't want people to begin thinking of me as an intuitive, rather than an actor."

"This call was interesting from the start," Darcy reported as she described the energy she received from Julian. "I got a very perky feeling as we spoke about his career - and yet he was actually quite solemn."

As Darcy focused on the actor, she understood that he had suffered much personal loss. Working as an Empath would affect him emotionally - and not in a good way. It would be too hard on him to take on the work, which involves feeling what others feel, she suggested.

"I think you're right," he responded thoughtfully. "I didn't know exactly what I was feeling, but I think you went right to the heart of my concerns, Darcy. I'm not in a good place right now. I just lost a close friend, an actor who died too young, and who suffered significantly. You may have read about her in the papers. And I've had this dream I want to discuss with you - in my dream, my cousin - who also died, a year ago - was taking a picture of me and the friend who just passed away."

Darcy heard a voice in her head filled with laughter, and got a picture of a beautiful high-rise office, which she described to Julian, as well as the sensation of feeling very beautiful and being surrounded by expensive fabrics. "I told Julian that I felt a very different presence - lighthearted, bubbling happiness. I felt it was the one who had guided me to his first message."

"You're getting someone from the other side?"

"Yes. He's telling me that you need to be in a relationship - and something about your clothes…"

"Hmmm… Reed? He was an immaculate dresser," Julian confirmed.

"Did you grow up together? He's showing me a picture of you as a boy on a skateboard - with your cap on backward. He says you were always the jock."

Julian laughed, "Not quite the jock, but I was definitely into sports. He was always into clothes."

"You were very, very close. He says he always had to keep an eye on you," Darcy related.

"Well he thought that, because he's six months older than I am. Our moms both worked, so my grandmother watched us. We were like brothers, until…" Julian paused.

"He says he's still keeping an eye on you."

"Okay, so now, I have tears in my eyes. I miss him every day."

"He's opening up your closet doors, he has sweats thrown over his shoulder, he wants to get rid of them."

Julian relaxed a bit, enjoying the familiarity of the exchange. "He never liked the way I dressed. I suppose he's telling you that's why I don't have a relationship."

"He says you look for dates in all the wrong places."

"Where should I look?"

"The golf course," Darcy conveyed.

Just then the one-minute beep warned Julian and Darcy that the reading was about to end, and Julian repeated, "Tell him I love him, I miss him, I wish… " and then there was silence.

Darcy was still thinking about what had just occurred as she got up to get a fresh cup of coffee. Reed was tagging along behind her, she realized, letting her know that he was still concerned about Julian, when her CaliforniaPsychics.com line rang. It was Julian again.

"Oh good, Reed is still here, worrying about you. You need a relationship..."

"Ah. I'm just not into it," he said sounding somewhat futile. "Everyone leaves you…"

Darcy got a picture of Reed in a hospital bed, all skin and bones, hooked up to machines - with Julian right there with him.

"So is this how you remember me? What about all of those years of good times…" Reed ranted to his cousin. "You promised me you'd live out my life out for me. You're going to live to be 93!"

And then the one-minute beep went off again… this time, Julian was silent as the time ran out.

When Darcy's line rang next, she knew it would be Julian again.

"Okay so tell Reed I'm remembering the living to be 93 stuff - but I'm not sure about changing my wardrobe. I will keep my eyes open for someone at the golf course." In the minutes that were left, Julian spoke of his appreciation for his cousin's watchful eye.

"And before this call ends, Darcy, thanks a million. I can't tell you how much better I feel."

And Darcy, ecstatic from what had just occurred in a little over an hour's time, thought as their third and final call came to a close, "And thank you for the opportunity to share a glimpse into your amazing bond of love."

Whilst studying Architecture at Bournemouth College of Art!

I used to hire paddle steamers and promote Jazz. The first event was in 1960 and was an outstanding success. I promoted this with fellow student Mike Ross from Winton if my memory serves me correct.

With my share of the profit I took a cross channel ferry, a train to Paris and then another to Madrid.

I arrived unannounced at the doorstep of a Spanish Senorita that I had met the previous summer holidays whilst working as a waiter in a Swanage hotel to help pay for my architectural studies.

We enjoyed "cuba libres" on the Calle Serano and dancing in the Retiro Park:-)

As you will see from the 2 tickets above I carried on promoting with a partner the trombone player with the Gerry Brown Jazzmen. I had suggested to him, Stewart Gledhill that Gerry Brown recorded a version of "The Green Fields of Summer" from The Alamo. He did not listen and Kenny Ball recorded it and it was an instant success making this traditional jazz band. They obviously wanted more that the seventy five pound fee agreed, but there was a contract that they could not break.

Weekly LoveCast™

"Romance has many faces " by Cortney Litwin

Source: California Psychics

A line-up of romantic influences makes Monday the best day for love this week. Romance moves from intense to adventurous midweek. Venus transiting into cozy Cancer on Friday favors entertaining at home this weekend, although an opposition from power-hungry Pluto on Saturday can bring out your inner beast - not necessarily in a good way - especially if you're an Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn.

Week of July 27 - August 2, 2009

Cancer: Sharing your creativity by throwing a party can bring delight on Monday. Passion escalates toward the middle of the week! You're feeling edgy on Friday, but Venus entering your sign makes you a magnet for romance, and heightens your creativity throughout August. Romance feels unstable on Saturday, but a soulful rendezvous can deepen love on Sunday.

Leo: Your words are especially eloquent on Monday while you're flirting on the social front, and promoting your ideas on the work front. You get results! A trip can bring opportunities as well. You're feeling willful on Tuesday. A sexy rendezvous brings fun into your life on Thursday. Your partner is irritated easily on Friday and Saturday. Helpfulness inspires love on Sunday.

Virgo: Share your wit and wisdom to inspire romance on Monday - a moneymaking opportunity may land in your lap as well. Wednesday is hot! However, relationship chaos can unhinge you on Tuesday and Thursday, so strive to stay centered. Mixed messages throw love off-balance on Saturday. Romance escalates delightfully on Sunday.

Libra: You're simply irresistible on Monday, so plan a get-together with friends, or whisk your sweetie away to someplace sexy and chic! Also, love may come from afar or during a spiritual activity. Flirting heats up on Thursday, but rash words disrupt love on Friday or Saturday. A cozy time at your abode can bring satisfaction to your Sunday.

Scorpio: Your intuition empowers your sense of direction on Monday, so heed your inner voice. Also, a rendezvous in a serene or artsy locale will accelerate romance. You're charismatic - but easily irritated - on Tuesday. Your mystique is irresistible midweek. Love feels out of control on Saturday. Heartfelt (or naughty!) words inspire passion on Sunday.

Sagittarius: Love can be found during a group activity or through a friend on Monday, so take some time from work to socialize! A community event can bring romance as well. A cozy environment inspires passion toward the middle of the week. Combativeness may derail love on Friday. You're feeling wild and free on Saturday - but love requires a grounded approach on Sunday.

Capricorn: Networking with colleagues can bring a romantic interlude or professional opportunity on Monday. A financial door opens as well, so keep your eyes open. Passion is on fire - but still challenging - on Tuesday. Your naughty side comes out to play midweek! Restlessness can bring about a stumble on Friday and Saturday, but romance soars on Sunday.

Aquarius: Exploring a new locale or learning something new inspires romance on Monday. Love can be found while you're traveling, too. Your willful side may derail romance on Tuesday or Wednesday. An activity with friends energizes you on Thursday, but socializing brings trouble on Friday or Saturday. A natural setting inspires romance on Sunday.

Pisces: Your imaginative side inspires a sexy interlude on Monday, so be creative to rev up romance! Having friends over for dinner can bring joy as well. Your sensuality is hard to resist toward the middle of the week. Irritations can bring an explosion on Friday or Saturday, so take some time to stay centered. Your humor energizes passion on Sunday.

Expand Your Soul

How psychic readings can help

Source: California Psychics

It isn't always easy for your Soul or Higher Self to let you know how and when to take the next steps in your evolution. That's because your journey may take you to a new way of seeing, understanding and being in the world.

You literally have no prior references to build on, so, unless you wake up one morning and say to yourself, "Wow! I just realized it's time to expand my soul, and I know exactly what steps to take," your soul has to take a more indirect route to get your attention.

Because you're being invited into unexplored territory, the imperative to expand your soul often has to make itself known through feelings of depression and boredom, a sense of dissatisfaction with your life or a gut-level conviction that something important is missing. Maybe you've been feeling this kind of vague unhappiness lately - how can you find out if it's your soul talking? And, even more important, where can you find an itinerary for your next steps?

Open up...
One path would be to consult a psychic. Psychic gifts come from the ability to see, feel, hear or just plain know things that exist outside the conscious boundaries of our everyday world. In the process of refining and deepening their skills, psychics directly experience the eternal nature of consciousness and the individual soul, and they each, according to their individual beliefs and gifts, learn to receive, understand and interpret the directives of an individual's "eternal being."

Soul reading guide:
Here is how five different types of psychic readings can help you map the next stages of your soul's expansion:

1. Spirit guides
By talking to your spirit guides (or theirs), psychics are able to connect with a level of consciousness which has easy access to your soul's or higher self's vision and intention. Spirit guides (and family members who have passed on) in particular can provide a bridge between realms of light and everyday reality because most have lived in both this world and the next.

2. Astrology
The slower moving planets, also called transpersonal planets, are very accurate in predicting the timing and nature of your soul's unfolding journey. Chiron, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, and in a different way Saturn, are all about transformation, and a psychic astrologer can look at your chart and give you an amazing amount of information about what's up when one of these planets is affecting you.

3. Past lives
Normally a past life reading naturally hooks up with the lives that are most relevant to the one you're living today. By looking at how issues and opportunities from past lives are affecting you today, a psychic can see the pattern of your soul's choices and discern your best next steps.

4. Soul family
Meetings with your "soul family," people with whom you've shared many lifetimes, are very powerful keys to your soul's unfolding. A psychic can recognize your soulmates and soul friends (who can take the role of enemies, too). They usually show up when you're ready to move to the next level. Also, the way they show up - as lovers, mates, friends or enemies - can give you a lot of information.

5. Tarot
Tarot is absolutely the best divination tool to use when searching for insights about your soul's next steps, because the Major Arcana is literally a map of the soul's journey. A Tarot reading using the full deck will easily pinpoint soul issues and opportunities because Major Arcana cards appear there.

And last but not least, nothing can replace your gut, your inner compass, as the ultimate arbiter of what your soul wants to do next. After you've consulted with experts and oracles, the most important step is to again surround yourself with light, center in your soul, and ask for the wisdom to discern if the information you've been given is correct, complete and leading you in the right direction. Your soul will answer!

Is it time to embrace a new evolution? Let a psychic guide you in a reading today. Call 1.800.573.4830 or click here now.

Find Your True Self

Ancient practices for awareness
by S. K. Smith
Source: California Psychics

With more and more of our time spent online, disconnected from the earth on which we live, it's easy for us to lose track of ourselves - and our ability to access the energies of nature! The good news is, reconnection is possible with just a little shift of focus and attention.

There are a whole host of spiritual traditions that link us as human beings with our environments - starting with those that came from ancient Africa, the cradle of civilization. And best of all, you don't have to alter your personal beliefs to take inspiration from them!

Originated in West Africa (but filtered down into spiritual practice worldwide in the hundreds of years since), the principles of "Yoruba" spirituality are among those traditions that offer us a direct line to nature - both as it is around us and as it exists within us. Believing that the concept of "god" is too expansive to explain, the Yoruba personify all Higher Powers through spiritual beings, or Orisha, who represent the earth's natural elements such as the ocean, rivers and air. By simply paying respect to the elements, we invite their energies to enhance our lives.

Want to learn more? Then try the three ways below of using ancient Yoruba spiritual beliefs to reconnect with your own worldly power.

1. Nurture yourself
Ever notice that a quiet day at the beach washes over you, leaving you tranquil and present? The Yoruba would thank Yemoja for this experience. The Mother of us all, Yemoja is the Orisha represented by the ocean. Her influence on humanity is as deep and unfathomable as a mother's love. She holds life within her bosom, but has the power to completely destroy life as well. In that way, we are at her mercy - unless we learn to go with her ebbs and flows, trusting that we are always where we're meant to be. Her message is perseverance.

To channel the spirit of Yemoja - and nurture yourself - spend some quiet, reflective time at her shores. In other words, go to the ocean (or if that's not an option, to a lake), sit quietly alone (or with a friend who wants to do the same) and focus on drawing calm and benevolence into your life. Breathe deeply, ask for guidance and say your thanks to the universe for supporting you in your journey. By doing this, you may find that you have the power to center, and to keep moving, - despite what's going on around you. The goal is to utilize the healing, mothering energy of the water (Yemoja) to recharge.

2. Bring love (and beauty) into your life
There's no doubting the fact that art and intimacy are interconnected - both are the result of passion. In Yoruba traditions this force is represented by Oshun, the spirit-goddess of love and beauty. Personified by rivers, Oshun teaches us not just how to love others, but how to love and please ourselves by going with the flow that is human nature. She teaches us how to love with our own highest good (and the good of others) in mind.

To bring love, beauty (or prosperity) into your life, or for help dealing with a difficult relationship, channel Oshun's energy and blessings by creating an altar at home filled with things you find beautiful. Need help? Jewels, copper, mirrors and the color yellow are among Oshun's favorites. Whatever you choose, by setting this altar up in a place you can see it daily (and taking a few moments to sit by it and focus your intentions on your highest good whenever you can), you create space for all that feels pleasing to you. Based in the idea that our senses are our best judge of what we need (if we truly listen to them), the goal is to appreciate what feels good - and right - so that we bring more of it into our lives.

3. Transform yourself
When we're experiencing inner turmoil, it's easy to get swept up, forgetting that we're actually being presented with an opportunity to transform ourselves. Just like every storm clears the air for a new day, our struggles become our impetus for personal growth. In Yoruba tradition this principle is the domain of Oya, the spirit goddess of change, fertility and magic. She is represented by the wind and storm, and facilitates catharsis through destruction. Old beliefs have to die in order for new ones to take hold, and her message is to fight for positive growth despite the obstacles.

To give birth to a whole new you (or simply a new aspect of yourself) channel the spirit of Oya and wash (or burn) away the mindsets (or memories) that are getting in your way! Write down your old beliefs - or whatever it is you want to release - on small pieces of paper. Then light some candles and draw a bath, adding your favorite aromatic oils to the water. Climb in and cleanse yourself with the intention of washing away whatever it is you're looking to bid farewell to. When you're finished, burn the scraps of paper with the flames from the candles, and wash the ashes down the drain.

Now write your new intention on a larger piece of paper, and place it somewhere you can see it - with a red candle you light daily to remind yourself of your transformation. The goal here is recognizing the power you have in your own life - and grabbing hold of it, without hesitation.

Practice Patience

It's the key to intimacy

by M. McMahon
Source: California Psychics

Connecting with another person is one of the most sacred, exciting and spiritually challenging experiences we will go through in this lifetime. Sometimes we are brought the perfect person to teach us exactly what it is that we need to learn about love.

Yet what many of us are challenged by is being patient when it's time to build a relationship. Most of us want to know right away what it will "be." However, rushing the physicality of your connection just creates insecurity, and insecurity is the opposite of intimacy, which is the key to any successful relationship.

Feeling safe is what allows people to move forward, and this feeling can only be built over time. Intimacy has a lot of different levels, and it isn't just about physical connection - though that is an important part. Taking the time to listen and learn about someone new in your life will allow a closeness that is based on respect, in every area, to manifest itself.

So try and enjoy this building of a new relationship as much as the physical aspect. Hormones and fantasies can justify your impulse to jump right into something, but it won't help you find the deeper (lasting!) connection that comes from taking it slowly. So take a deep breath. Be grateful for your initial chemistry. Now slow down your mind - and open your heart.

Trust, and trust more
One of the reasons people who sincerely want a relationship sometimes jump into bed too quickly is that they are afraid if they don't "seal the deal" and bond in the bedroom, they will lose that person's interest. If they can just show they are skilled between the sheets, it will "fix" anything that's askew.

But the truth is, most of us connect compatibility in bed with compatibility in life. If it were as easy as getting and giving good sex, why would any of us talk to each other at all? If you want a love that is built on the simple joy of spending time together, then you must make that the focus of the initial courtship period.

If the connection is there, let it grow. Resist the urge to jump ahead. Everything ebbs and flows. You may feel it more on one date, and less on the next. Keep trusting, and accept the journey to evolve. Don't count dates. Don't analyze every word you say to each other. Trust that clarity will come at the exact right time. Wouldn't you rather spend a long time getting to know one person - and have it last - than have two or three more quick flings that leave you as alone as before?

Think evolution
There is a lot of advice out there about "playing hard to get." The sentiment is right, but the reasoning is often flawed. Making yourself artificially unavailable is like trying to get someone to drink a glass that's half-full. But having a full wonderful life that you slowly integrate a new person into is attractive. That's why your self-care is crucial to nurturing a relationship. Don't drop your life when you sense that your connection is growing. Yes, you might clear your Saturday nights, of course - but dropping plans with friends, giving up your fitness routine, or spending every night at your new love's apartment is just going to tell your new partner - "you are my whole life!" And that's a countdown to an ending - because the pressure becomes unbearable on them. Allow this next level of connection to evolve. Just because the connection is there doesn't mean it's time to change addresses, share finances, or adopt pets together! One day at a time... more will eventually be revealed.

No expectations!
Don't judge the speed of this relationship against anyone else's romances - or measure it by your own past relationships! If you surrender the fact that this is an utterly new relationship unlike any others, your path to love will be yours only - completely unique, and divine. You will relax into a profound freedom. There are only three outcomes to taking it slow: 1) it will grow into a deep and stable love, 2) you will lose interest, 3) the other party will lose interest. If you lose interest, you'll realize it was a good thing you found out before you had a joint credit card with them. If they lose interest, you'll have the clarity to look elsewhere. If it grows into a deep and stable love, it won't matter how long it takes.

Remember, while you're checking your watch and wondering, is this going to be what I want or not?, there is someone else in this story, and you have no idea what they are going through. They may still be emotionally letting go of someone else they had been seeing. They may be cleaning out old photographs that need to be gone from their home before you get invited over. Or they may just be giving their heart time to speak clearly.

So, pull back the expectations and have fun. Because above everything, the pursuit of love can be full of joy, and you get to bring that light. So laugh, smile and relax. Love has a way of arriving right on time.
