http://www.euronews.net/ Former Illinois governor, Rod Blagojevich has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for political corruption. He had tried to sell the Senate seat vacated by the then president-elect Barack Obama.
With his wife beside him Blagojevich said after sentencing: "This is a time to fight through adversity, this is a time for me to be strong for my children, to be strong for Pattie and this is also a time for Pattie and me to get home so we can explain to our kids, our babies Amy and Annie, what happened and what all this means and where we are going from here."
