The 10-year-old girl Laure moved with her parents and sister Jeanne to a town on the outskirts of Paris. During the summer, when all the neighborhood kids playing outside, Laure feels left out. Until she Lisa, also 10 years, met. From their first meeting, Lisa believes that Laure is a boy. The boyish Laure takes this gladly and introduces himself as Michael. Naarmate de zorgeloze zomer ten einde komt wordt het steeds gecompliceerder voor Laure om haar geheim te bewaren.
