BREXIT - Boris Johnson: UK population will rise 'inexorably' John Major: Leave campaign being 'deceitful and dishonest'

Published on 5 Jun 2016
Former Mayor of London and Leave supporter Boris Johnson has said he "dismisses" the criticism, some of it very personal, that just came from Sir John Major. Speaking to Andrew Marr, he said the public want to hear the real arguments, about the economy, immigration, and so on. He went on to defend the £350m claim that has been so widely criticised. He said "all we're suggesting" is that the UK "loses control" of that much money - not that all of it is lost to the EU - and if the country voted for Brexit that control could be returned. On immigration, he says it's "a question of democracy" and the UK currently has no say on who comes here.

But out of the ashes of revolution has risen a new generation. Slava Lepsheev, who’d lost his job because of the financial crisis triggered by the war, had had enough, and started Cxema, a raw, hard and hypnotic techno rave that he took to whatever semi-legal venue he could set a soundsystem up in. So together with Slava, and the city’s brightest young lights, we followed young Kiev as they prepared for a night at Cxema, from building the venue to watching the sunrise break.
