Britian - Thieves dig 100ft tunnel to cash machine in Manchester

Thieves in Manchester dug a 100ft underground tunnel over six months to get to a cash machine.

They used machinery to cut through more than 15in (38cm) of concrete to steal the money in Fallowfield Shopping Precinct, Levenshulme.

The tunnel started from a railway embankment at the rear of the shop, and went under a car park, and beneath the foundations of the store.

At least six people are dead after a luxury cruise ship with 4,200 people aboard ran aground off the Tuscan coast, Italian media reported.

The Costa Concordia was on a trip around the Mediterranean when it hit a reef near the Isola del Giglio. The local mayor said he feared further casualties as it was proving difficult to rescue the last passengers.
Most of the 3200 passengers and 1000 crew members had been evacuated, but around 200 to 300 people were still on board, according to the prefect of the nearby city of Grosseto, Giuseppe Linardi.

At least six people are reported to have died after a cruise ship ran aground off the coast of Tuscany in Italy.

Coastguards were forced to evacuate more than 4,000 passengers and crew from the Costa Concordia, near to the island of Isola del Giglio.

The ship had sailed earlier on Friday from Civitavecchia port near Rome for a Mediterranean cruise. Passengers were eating dinner, when they heard a loud bang.

http://www.euronews.net/ Iran has given an official funeral to its nuclear scientist Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, murdered in Tehran on Wednesday when a bomb was attached to his car.

Crowds blamed America and Israel for his killing, and many Iranians believe death squads are trying to slow down Iran's nuclear programme by killing off its scientists.

Roshan was an expert chemist and director of the Natanz uranium enrichment facility in the capital. In the meantime Iran has said it is ready to let UN inspectors back in and talk.
