Pakistan - bomb blast has killed at least 23 people in Jamrud - border with Afghanistan

http://www.euronews.net/ A bomb blast has killed at least 23 people and wounded at least 26 others in northwest Pakistan.

The explosion happened near at a bus stop in Jamrud, a market town close to the border with Afghanistan.

Most of the victims were bus passengers.

Jamrud lies inside Pakistan's Khyber tribal region.

No-one has as yet admitted to carrying out the attack, but the area is a stronghold of anti-government Islamist militants who have carried out similar bombings there in the past.

USA - Romney still leads in New Hampshire GOP race

However, Jon Huntsman's campaign received a boost after he and Romney tied the ballot in the small Hampshire village of Dixville Notch which traditionally begins voting at midnight.

Syria - Assad blames 'outside forces' for country´s unrest

He claimed the country's fractured opposition movement was being backed by Western governments with the aim of forcing him from power.

"The existence of an external conspiracy is obvious to everyone," the Syrian leader told an audience in Damascus on Tuesday.

Turkey - Syria is headed into civil war warns Turkey

http://www.euronews.net/ Turkey's premier has give his starkest warning yet over the violent uprisings in neighbouring Syria. Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the country was spiralling into civil war.

Ankara is fearful the fighting there could escalate into a broader regional conflict.

"The situation in Syria is heading towards a religious, sectarian and racial war and this needs to be prevented," Erdogan told a press conference.
