Ukraine - Man's death fuels violent protest in Donetsk / Україна - смерть людини палива бурхливий протест в Донецьку

Around 100 people tried to storm a local administration building in the city of Donetsk in protest over investments lost in the financial crisis. However, their actions were also said to be sparked by a police raid on a Chernobyl veterans camp after which a man died.

A security guard at the administration building was injured as he tried to hold the crowd back.

Kosovo - Two NATO troops injured in border clashes

http://www.euronews.net/ Kosovar Serbs shot and wounded two NATO peacekeepers in clashes in northern Kosovo, the military alliance said on Monday.

A spokesman for KFOR, NATO's peacekeeping force, said protesters used small firearms when troops tried to seize control of a roadblock near Jagnjenica.

An estimated 60,000 Serbs living in northern Kosovo do not recognise its independence or its efforts to control the border with Serbia.

France - jobless rate on the rise

Government figures showed the number of jobseekers went up by 34,000 to 2.81 million - that is up nearly 5 per cent year on year.

France has not seen unemployment levels like that since December 1999. It could prove a headache for President Nicholas Sarkozy, who is trailing in the polls and faces an election in five months.

Anadarko Petroleum (NYSE:APC) announced that its major gas finds offshore Mozambique were about double what it originally thought, and that the results of its Barquentine-3 appraisal well showed its fields had recoverable reserves of 15Tcf to over 30Tcf of natural gas.

Anadarko Chairman and CEO Jim Hackett said, "The positive results of each appraisal well that we have drilled and analyzed have continued to increase our estimate of recoverable resources and natural gas in place on our block, and to add to our confidence that this could be one of the most important natural gas fields discovered in the last 10 years, with significant long-term benefits for Mozambique."
