Barnes & Noble (NYSE:BKS) NOOK Tablet Launches to Big Order Volume

Barnes & Noble (NYSE:BKS) began shipping its highly anticipated NOOK Tablet, the company's fastest and lightest tablet with the best in HD entertainment, one day ahead of schedule to customers who pre-ordered the product.

The NOOK Tablet will begin arriving today and throughout the week to customers who pre-ordered the device online and reserved units in Barnes & Noble stores.

Also starting today, the hit product will be available for demonstration and for purchase, along with the $99 NOOK Simple Touch and the Award winning NOOK Color, at the over 700 Barnes & Noble Stores.

Barnes & Noble is currently above its 50-day moving average (MA) of $11.99 and above its 200-day of $13.85.

TD Bank (NYSE:TD) announced that it will expand its corporate operations at the bank's campus on Interstate 85 in Greenville, South Carolina, creating more than 1,400 jobs in the next three to five years.

TD Bank will also add more than 200 new positions in Lexington, South Carolina.

Bharat Masrani, President and CEO, TD Bank said, "This is a major investment in the future of TD Bank. We are thrilled to announce the expansion of the Interstate 85 campus and creation of more than 1,600 jobs throughout South Carolina to support our growth. Our Greenville regional hub will provide TD Bank with a strong foundation and capacity to accommodate the expansion of America's Most Convenient Bank from Maine to Florida."

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) introduced its first business Ultrabook, which features a thin and light design, strong security options and a responsive solid-state hard drive for the ultimate mobile experience, the company said.

The HP Folio13 also delivers up to nine hours of battery life, the highest performance available among Ultrabook devices currently on the market, HP said.

Measuring less than 18 millimeters thin and using an ultraslim 13.3-inch diagnol high definition BrightView display, the HPFolio weighs just 3.3 pounds, the company added.

Crawford Del Prete, executive vice president, Worldwide Research Products, and chief research officer, IDC said, "This category of product breaks new ground and will be a likely choice for businesses to offer to employees looking for a more consumer-centric experience. We expect Ultrabooks will re-ignite interest in the small form factor PC category, and by 2015 expect 95 million Ultrabooks will be shipping worldwide annually."

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) has potential upside of 5.7% based on a current price of $28.24 and an average consensus analyst price target of $29.84.
