Aries (Mar21/Apr20) At long last, you’re finally able to move forward with a cherished plan. Fortunately, friends and family are firmly behind you. This is a great time to develop your creative skills. Learning to play an instrument, writing songs, putting your finer feelings down in black and white for a loved one or any activity that uplifts and inspires you is worth pursuing. You’re tired of performing the same routine, day after day. Champion your inner artist. You’re a lot more imaginative than you think.
 .
Taurus (Apr21/May21) It will be much easier to get noticed for your creative efforts. If you want a career in an artistic field, now is the time to pursue your goal. You may have to start at the bottom of a company and work your way up. Fortunately, you’re very tenacious, so you’ll rise through the ranks very quickly. Are you already happy with your job? Don’t be surprised when your boss leaves for greener pastures, giving you a chance to take over their duties.
 .
Gemini (May22/Jun21) Studying religion, art, or culture will give you the intellectual stimulation you crave. A visionary teacher will prove inspiring. By hitching your wagon to this star, you’ll go further than you ever imagined. It’s even possible you will write a book about your favourite subject, or go on a trip to a spiritual homeland. Whatever you decide, you should stay focused on expanding your horizons. All of the routine work that held you prisoner is giving way to exciting adventures.
 .
Cancer (Jun22/Jul23) A close relationship provides lots of comfort. It feels as though your best friend or lover can read your mind. Together, you can build a happier, more financially secure future. Pool your resources to buy something of long lasting value you both will enjoy. This is also a good opportunity to buy a share in a holiday home by the sea. The effect of water on your psyche is extremely soothing. Think about investing in your physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
 .
Leo (Jul24/Aug23) Two heads are better than one, so lean on your best friend, lover, or business partner for support with a creative venture. Their feedback will prove invaluable. You sometimes have a tendency to overestimate your work. By making a few critical improvements, you’ll turn a good project into a great one. Don’t be afraid to be innovative. The more inventive your approach, the more successful your venture will be. Conventional techniques won’t win you the fame and acclaim you desire.
 .
Virgo (Aug24/Sep23) You often suffer from nervous tension; so learning to chill out and relax will improve your health dramatically. Give yourself the gift of relaxation. Getting a massage is advised, too. At times, your mind gets in the way of your body. Learn to quell those anxious thoughts so you can enjoy life to the fullest. You’re a very sensual person when you drop your inhibitions. Indulge your love of rich colours, beautiful music, and refreshing scents.
 .
Libra (Sep24/Oct23) Your love life is heating up to a red hot intensity. If you’re already in a relationship, schedule a romantic holiday with your amour. The two of you will recapture the passion that first brought you together. Single? An independent minded newcomer will catch your eye at a photography exhibit, concert, or dance. You’ll have to pursue this elusive character, as they are too shy to make the first move. Still, the prize will be worth the chase.
 .
Scorpio (Oct24/Nov22) This is an ideal time to redecorate, perhaps tackle a room that seems cold and depressing. Painting it a lighter, brighter colour will make it more inviting. Your newly attractive space will prompt you to entertain more. Don’t be surprised when you’re inspired to host a dinner party or invite people over to play cards. In the past, you saw your home as a haven from the outside world. Once you improve its appearance, you’ll see it as a warm gathering space for friends.
 .
Sagittarius (Nov23/Dec21) Be careful what you read or watch as you’re very impressionable now. Stories with a negative message will weigh heavily on your heart. Take this opportunity to borrow some uplifting books and movies from the library. Ask your friends for recommendations if you have difficulty coming up with titles. Pretty soon, life will seem filled with possibilities, and you’ll be able to overcome an obstacle that has paralysed you for some time. Information that was once classified will finally become available.
 .
Capricorn (Dec22/Jan20) Raising money for a good cause gives you a spiritual lift. You’re tired of constantly having to watch your back. By reaching out to a vulnerable segment of the community, you’ll feel a stronger connection to the outside world. These days, it’s so easy to go from home to work and back again, without ever having a meaningful exchange with strangers. By getting involved in charitable work, you’ll realise just how interconnected we really are.
 .
Aquarius (Jan21/Feb19) Your kindness and compassion open doors. People respect the way you treat the most vulnerable members of society. As a result, you’ll get several job offers and recommendations. Use your reputation to raise awareness of a growing problem in your community. By introducing your neighbours to this issue, you can work together to make the area safer, cleaner, and more pleasant. You’ll also create an atmosphere of cooperation and harmony that didn’t exist before.
 .
Pisces (Feb20/Mar20) Trust your intuition, especially as far as a group project is concerned. You will be able to flawlessly execute the leader’s ideas. Before you start work you should specify your needs. Put down the terms in writing, so there won’t be any confusion. It’s important you are given the proper compensation, credit, and publicity. Working for a religious or cultural institution will be especially rewarding. If you do a good job with this assignment, bigger and better jobs will come.

Australia - passes controversial carbon tax law

Published on Nov 8, 2011 by
http://www.euronews.net/ Australia has passed a series of landmark anti-pollution laws, imposing a tax on carbon emissions in one of the biggest reforms in a decade.

The country still relies heavily on coal to generate electricity, and is the world's highest emitter per head, although it accounts for just 1.5 percent of global emissions.

The final vote in the Senate paves the way for the most comprehensive carbon price scheme outside Europe. It is a triumph for the Prime Minister Julia Gillard; the hotly-contested issue prompted the fall of two of her predecessors.
