Aries (Mar21/Apr20) A close partnership is showing signs of strain. In the past, you were able to laugh at each other's foibles. Now you're issuing harsh criticisms instead of light hearted jokes. A little distance will make all the difference. Sneak off to some private hideaway where you can think, reflect, and relax. Deep down inside, you have tremendous affection for your friend. Being constantly thrown together has caused your patience to wear thin. You can have too much of a good thing.
 .
Taurus (Apr21/May21) You can't see the forest for the trees. Lately, you've been so intent on meeting deadlines that you've forgotten why you are working in the first place. Your boss is making unfair demands on you. Instead of scrambling to meet unrealistic goals, stand up for yourself. Demand more time and more money. You don't realise it, but your words carry a great deal of weight with the powers that be. Fortunately, a romantic partner is poised to give all the support you need.
 .
Gemini (May22/Jun21) It feels like fun times are long gone. Nothing could be further from the truth! If you want amusement, you will have to look for it. Get into the habit of devoting one hour each day to pleasure. Reading, writing, playing cards, enjoying sport the more varied your routine, the better. Sparks are flying between you and a colleague. If you do have a romantic encounter, it might be wise to look for another job. Mixing business with pleasure is always more complicated than you think.
 .
Cancer (Jun22/Jul23) Caring for a relative has become exhausting. You must get some help before you burn out altogether. Enlist the aid of a neighbour who has experience dealing with this kind of problem. Lately, you've been neglecting your favourite hobbies. Take this opportunity to make a delicious meal, organise a scrapbook, or decorate a room. You're the type who needs to exercise your creativity to be happy. Too much drudgery will only frustrate and irritate you.
 .
Leo (Jul24/Aug23) Lack of education is stopping you getting the type of job you want. Fortunately, an experienced family member can teach you what you have to know, provided you give the proper compensation and respect. Just because you have a close relationship doesn't mean you can order your instructor around. Always remember that you are the student and your relative is the teacher. In time, you'll gain a deeper appreciation for their abilities. You can't judge a book by its cover.
 .
Virgo (Aug24/Sep23) You're worried about finances, and with good reason. Lately, you've been working harder and getting fewer returns. You must find a new source of income. Launching a small business will prove profitable, even if it's as simple as walking your neighbour's dogs. Alternatively, you might decide freelance writing. You have a gift for communication. Why not write about a subject that really fascinates you, then submit it your favourite publication.
 .
Libra (Sep24/Oct23) Working too hard is making you miserable. You have to strike a balance between your personal and public lives. Spending all of your time on obligations robs you of valuable energy. You're the type who needs a vibrant social life to thrive. Reduce your hours and attend a party. Meet with friends for drinks. Arrange a fun outing with relatives. Being with people that you love and appreciate puts a spring in your step and a sparkle in your eyes.
 .
Scorpio (Oct24/Nov22) Stop letting your fears run away with you. It's essential to take a great risk, even when it terrifies you to do so. If you're suffering from a severe phobia, hypnotherapy can help. You'll feel so much better when you conquer this demon. Improving your appearance will boost your confidence, too. Go ahead and splurge on a new hairstyle, fashionable clothes, or a handsome pair of shoes. It's easy to exude authority when you look your best.
 .
Sagittarius (Nov23/Dec21) You've been working so hard towards a goal without making very much progress. It's incredibly frustrating. Instead of doubling your efforts, make a strategic retreat. Go where you can be alone. When you escape the distractions of email, phone messages, and texts, you'll be able to do some soul searching. Maybe you have to build a new dream. Letting go of the old one will be sad, but liberating. Luckily, you have many talents and interests, so it shouldn't be difficult to switch gears.
 .
Capricorn (Dec22/Jan20) Try as you might, you just can't summon that much ambition. Normally, you have your eyes set firmly on some goal, and do everything in your power to achieve it. Now you're starting to wonder if all that hard work has been worth it. Part of the problem is you have been neglecting your friends. Surrounding yourself with people you love and admire is critical to your emotional health. Their insight to your true motivations, plus their appreciation for your gifts, keeps you grounded.
 .
Aquarius (Jan21/Feb19) You'll have to cancel a trip at the last minute, which is really annoying. It will be impossible to seal a business deal until you take this journey. Unfortunately, none of the pieces are in place yet, so you will have to be patient. Let your family make a fuss over you. In the past, you brushed off their efforts to pamper and pet you. Don't make that mistake now, when you're in desperate need of tender loving care.
 .
Pisces (Feb20/Mar20) Joint resources are running low. You have to restore your savings, even if it means curtailing some of your leisure time. Opportunities related to teaching, writing, and the law are favoured. You'll be able to command a fairly good salary for your talents, but you must be willing to put in long hours. These days, you can't take a good job for granted. Do everything in your power to make yourself indispensable to those who are important in your life.

"Miss Representation" trailer - in UK Cinemas Saturday 22nd October 2011 - Starring: Cory Booker, Margaret Cho, Katie Couric, Geena Davis, Rosario Dawson

Uploaded by on Jan 24, 2011
Trailer Courtesy of Girls' Club Entertainment.

Like drawing back a curtain to let bright light stream in, MISS REPRESENTATION uncovers a glaring reality we live with every day but fail to see. Directed by Jennifer Siebel Newsom, the film explores how mainstream media contribute to the under-representation of women in influential positions in America and challenges the media's limiting and often disparaging portrayals of women, which make it difficult for the average girl to see herself as powerful.

In a society where media is the most persuasive force shaping cultural norms, the collective message that our young women and men overwhelmingly receive is that a woman's value and power lie in her youth, beauty, and sexuality--and not in her capacity as a leader. While women have made strides in leadership over the past few decades, the United States still ranks 90th in the world for women in national legislatures, depression rates have doubled among teenage girls, and cosmetic surgery on minors has more than tripled in the last ten years.

Stories from teenage girls and provocative interviews with politicians, journalists, academics, and activists like Condoleeza Rice, Nancy Pelosi, Katie Couric, Rachel Maddow, Margaret Cho, Rosario Dawson and Gloria Steinem build momentum as MISS REPRESENTATION accumulates startling facts and statistics that will leave the audience shaken and armed with a new perspective.

"Reuniting the Rubins " trailer - in UK Cinemas Friday 21st October 2011 - Starring: Rhona Mitra, Timothy Spall, Blake Harrison, James Callis, Honor Blackman

Uploaded by on Sep 16, 2011

Synopsis

Lenny Rubins, (Timothy Spall) an up-tight lawyer, has to put his dream retirement on hold when his ailing mother (Honor Blackman) emotionally blackmails him into reuniting his estranged children for a Jewish holiday.

They may be peas from the same pod, but in Lenny's eyes his grown up children are certainly not from the same planet: a survival-of-the-fittest hard-nosed capitalist (James Callis), an outspoken eco-warrior committed to the cause (Rhona Mitra); an outer worldly Buddhist Monk; and to cap it all a bible bashing born-again Rabbi!

They might not see eye to eye, quarrel, fight, but they are still family and it is going to take a whole lot of soul searching and sacrifice for all involved to come together in this heart warming, family comedy that will have you thinking of your own family with a smile.
