Russell Grant's Daily Horoscopes for Tuesday 3rd May 2011

.
Aries (Mar21/Apr20) There's nothing wrong with wanting the best life has to offer. Take this opportunity to ask for a raise or find a well paid job. An authority figure is impressed with your talent and is willing to pay handsomely for it. If you've always wanted to open your own business, now is the time to try. You'll make a handsome profit and build a great deal of financial security along the way. It will give you a great deal of satisfaction to make your family more secure.
 .
Taurus (Apr21/May21) Life seems like a grand adventure; you're ready to go out and explore the world. Taking a long distance trip, studying with a respected expert and writing a book are all possibilities open to you. The key is to push yourself to do something you've always wanted. Yes, you'll have to face down some fears, but it's only natural. Fortunately, you've been blessed with a great deal of common sense and can solve any problems that block your path.
 .
Gemini (May22/Jun21) Some people think you're overly idealistic, but you don't care. You'd rather reach for the stars than resign yourself to a life of drudgery. As luck would have it, a loved one is poised to share their good fortune with you. Money for a trip or school tuition will become available, allowing you to venture into the unknown. You'll have to undertake this adventure by yourself. At times, you'll feel very lonely. Still, it's better than staying buried at home. You'll benefit from a change of pace.
 .
Cancer (Jun22/Jul23) Working with a group is very fulfilling; you have no problem telling people what you really think of their efforts. Some people will be shocked at your apparent callousness. In truth, you don't enjoy criticising people. You are intent on putting forth a flawless performance. It is your belief that unless people know their strengths and weaknesses, they can't achieve greatness. This is true, but you still need to temper your criticisms with praise.
 .
Leo (Jul24/Aug23) It's time to realise the full scope of your power as you've got tremendous vision and creativity. Sharing it with the world will cause your star to rise. In the past, rivals stood in your way because they were jealous. Right now, the heavens are poised to shower fame upon you. The only thing standing between you and stardom is fear. Stop worrying you will embarrass yourself. Making a grand effort will only increase everyone's respect for you.
 .
Virgo (Aug24/Sep23) Obey your conscience regarding a romantic matter. If you feel guilty about a relationship, you must break it off. At first, the forbidden aspect of this bond was exciting. Now it's more of a burden than a blessing. Alternatively, you may have knowledge of an illicit affair. You're not sure if you should tell the victim. The best thing may be to confront the person who is creating all the trouble. They need to be held accountable for their actions.
 .
Libra (Sep24/Oct23) You can do anything you want, thanks to an incredible upsurge of willpower. The more people try to oppose your plans, the deeper you dig in your heels. Fortunately, several relatives are poised to help you. They'll give you loans, a work space, free equipment…whatever it takes to get your venture off the ground. If you want to break off a relationship, turn to your kin for assistance. They'll rally around you, helping you be more independent as you get used to being single.
 .
Scorpio (Oct24/Nov22) Finding the right combination of stability and passion in a romantic partner is important for you. You love being caught up in the early stages of an affair. It's when things settle into a routine that you become restless. There are ways to strike a balance, if you put your mind to it. Go ahead and create comfortable rituals with your amour, like making dinner together or observing special traditions. Keep things interesting in the bedroom, where you can experiment freely.
 .
Sagittarius (Nov23/Dec21) The more you know, the more confident you become. Lately, you've become acutely aware of gaps in your knowledge. The good news is you have an opportunity to act as an apprentice. By letting an expert take you under their wing, you'll acquire some very valuable skills. Pretty soon, you'll be able to find the sort of intellectually stimulating work you want. Stop setting your sights so low. You can accomplish great things if you give yourself half a chance.
 .
Capricorn (Dec22/Jan20) Go and meet your adoring public. People are very receptive to your brand of creativity, as well as your undoubted sex appeal. A budding romance makes it difficult to concentrate on work. This is probably a good thing. Too often, your relationships suffer because you spend the lion's share of your attention on paperwork, phone calls and other professional responsibilities. It's time to delegate duties to others and devote more energy to the people and activities you love.
 .
Aquarius (Jan21/Feb19) Trust your feelings involving a family matter as someone who pretends to be doing well needs your support. Whether this help is financial or emotional is immaterial. The important thing is to be generous with your resources. Throwing a big party at your house will be enjoyable. You love playing host to large groups of people and enjoy moving from one conversation to another. A powerful executive is giving you lots of attention. Their interest is more than professional.
 .
Pisces (Feb20/Mar20) There's never been a better time to advance your skills. Taking a class will put you in contact with a variety of influential people. Your newfound friends will help you find success in your desired field. Don't hesitate to ask them for introductions and letters of recommendation. While your abilities are impressive, you need the proper outlet for them. Teaching, publishing and research are all avenues open to you. Find a way to share your ideas with others.

Osama bin Laden

On May 1, 2011, in Washington, D.C. (May 2, Pakistan Standard Time), U.S. President Barack Obama announced that Osama bin Laden was killed by "a small team of Americans" acting under Obama's direct orders, in a covert operation in Abbottabad, Pakistan, about 50 km (31 mi) north of Islamabad. He was believed by some to be hiding near the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas, but was hiding in a million-dollar three-story mansion in Abbottabad. The Telegraph identified the compound's specific location on Google maps. The compound is 800 feet (250 meters) from a Pakistani police station, and a few hundred yards from the Pakistan Military Academy (Pakistan's "West Point").
