Fitch ratings agency has revised its outlook on UK debt down, warning
the country that it now has a better than one-in-two chance of losing
its triple A credit rating in the next two years.The news comes just a week ahead of the annual budget statement where Chancellor George Osborne is under pressure to ease debt-cutting and stimulate growth. Fitch's warns it is precisely the risk of easing that threatens the credit rating.
