Campaigners voice vitamin D fears

Rickets was a disease that had almost disappeared in the UK by the 1940's, but the number of cases has risen rapidly over the last 15 years.

Health campaigners say this is evidence that people are not getting enough vitamin D and have voiced concerns that there will also be an increase in related diseases.

Britian - Nurses to make hourly rounds to improve patient care

Nurses will be told to carry out hourly ward rounds under government plans to improve hospital care standards in England.

Patients will also be encouraged to lead inspections in a series of measures to be announced by David Cameron to help tackle a "real problem" with patient care.

The prime minister says he believes nurses have too much paperwork and he wants them to spend more time with patients.
