Waitrose Flowers and Hampers 30 August 2011

Russell Grant's Daily Horoscopes for Wednesday 31st August 2011

.
Aries (Mar21/Apr20) Relationship matters pull you away from your routine. You're tired of ignoring abusive behaviour. It's time to issue an ultimatum. The demands of your private and public lives are exhausting. The only way you can get off this crazy treadmill is to jump off. People will be shocked by your extreme behaviour, but they should have realised you won't tolerate a toxic environment. Instead of suffering in silence, you'll make sure things change, and change fast!
 .
Taurus (Apr21/May21) It's hard not to worry about the future of your job. There seems to be a lot of back room talks, which is never a good sign. Take control of the situation by applying for new positions. Even if your job is saved, you will have protected your interests. You might even get a better position than the one you currently hold. Don't betray any confidentiality agreements or you could get in legal trouble. You've got to watch your back in a job market like this one.
 .
Gemini (May22/Jun21) All sorts of drama is occurring in your social circle. A friend who has been struggling with an anger or substance abuse problem has overstepped their boundaries. It's time for an intervention. Be ready to act on an ultimatum. You can't tolerate this kind of behaviour, even from someone you love. Someone is trying to buy your loyalty. Although you need the money, you can't condone their behaviour. Distance yourself from this power monger as soon as you can.
 .
Cancer (Jun22/Jul23) Your boss is driving you crazy by imposing a stack of arbitrary rules. The two of you can't continue to work this way. You need a sensible set of directives to do your job. If that can't happen, it's time to find a better work environment. A relative who is worried about your future may try to convince you to hang in there. Although you appreciate their concern, you know what's best for you. Engaging in all this professional drama is robbing you of your personal life.
 .
Leo (Jul24/Aug23) You'll be disrupted from your reverie. Tear yourself away from the festivities and take care of some social obligations. Although you resent having your party ended, you must admit you made this commitment some time ago. Failing to show up to a fundraiser or party will hurt your reputation. Someone has some harsh criticisms for you. Although it's hard to be dressed down by an authority figure, you have to admit you have been less than dedicated these days.
 .
Virgo (Aug24/Sep23) Power struggles over joint resources will break out. You're tired of having to pay the price for a partner's irresponsible ways. It may be time to move your resources to a private account. If you're in a committed romantic relationship, it's time to get financial counselling. This will cut down on your arguments and help you forge a secure future together. Not happy with how a retirement fund is performing? Find a better, more secure place for your nest egg.
 .
Libra (Sep24/Oct23) Your best friend, lover, or romantic partner is making too many demands of you. While you sympathise with their personal problems, there is a limit to your patience. You have a life, too, and need to move on with it. If that means leaving a troubled relationship, so be it. You've had similar experiences with a manipulative relative. Resist the temptation to redeem past history by rescuing your friend. Some people won't accept help and may need to sort things out for themselves.
 .
Scorpio (Oct24/Nov22) Stress is taking a toll on your health. It's time to integrate some relaxation techniques into your daily routine. Removing yourself from a toxic situation will also help. If you're constantly doing battle with a neighbour, it will be in your best interests to move to a new place. Don't let pride get in the way of choosing a healthier environment. You have better things to do with your time than beg for basic consideration. There's no arguing with crazy people.
 .
Sagittarius (Nov23/Dec21) Your love life is creating all sorts of havoc. You're tired of all these mind games. There's something about your partner that sends you on an emotional rollercoaster. Maybe this is why your love life is red hot. The two of you love to break up and then make up. While this dynamic is exciting, it can't be sustained. If you're going to stay together, you'll have to follow some basic rules. Name calling, shaming, and finger pointing should be absolutely forbidden.
 .
Capricorn (Dec22/Jan20) Household disruptions are driving you to distraction. It's impossible to assert your authority when you are standing on shaky ground. Maybe it's time to explore your family's relationship dynamics. In the past, you issued the orders, and expected them to be followed. Now you're seeing some dissention in the ranks. This is the result of certain relatives feeling undervalued and unappreciated. Level the playing field and start fresh.
 .
Aquarius (Jan21/Feb19) An angry outburst drives a wedge between you and a teacher or in-law. You're tired of listening to their daft ideas. Although you won't be able to change anyone's mind, you can set a boundary. Don't stay around and listen to offensive language. This is not a good time to get involved in legal entanglements. No matter how airtight you think your case is, the deck will be stacked against you. Cut your losses and move on to greener pastures.
 .
Pisces (Feb20/Mar20) Your values are the cornerstone of your life. While money is important, it's not compelling enough to stay at a horrible job. You're tired of engaging in power struggles with people whose only goal is getting ahead. You'd rather be part of a team intent on doing the most good for the greatest amount of people. Unfortunately, this isn't the best time to walk away from a steady position. Find another job before leaving this one; there's no reason you should suffer from that kind of uncertainty.

India Martinez Letra - Vencer Amor

Cuantas veces te llamaba te llamaba sola y triste pero
nunca estabas, nunca estabas.

Cuantas veces te llamaba, te llamaba sola y triste..
pero nunca estabas…

Inspired by the beloved New York Times bestseller, The Elegance of the Hedgehog, by Muriel Barbery, THE HEDGEHOG is the timely story of Paloma (Garance Le Guillermic) a young girl bent on ending it all on her upcoming twelfth birthday. Using her father's old camcorder to chronicle the hypocrisy she sees in adults, Paloma begins to learn about life from the grumpy building concierge, Renée Michel (FRENCH TWIST's Josiane Balasko). When Paloma's camera reveals the extensive secret library in Renée's back room, and that the often gruff matron reads Tolstoy to her cat, Paloma begins to understand that there are allies to be found beneath the prickliest of exteriors. As the unlikely friendship deepens, Paloma's own coming of age becomes a much less pessimistic prospect.
