Russell Grant's Daily Horoscopes for Tuesday 17th January 2012

.
Aries (Mar21/Apr20) Your mental and physical health are strongly intertwined. Find a way to ease your anxieties. Working with your hands will put your mind at peace. Woodwork, pottery, and baking are all outlets worth exploring. It's time to prove to the world there is more to you than your job title or social position. By taking up a satisfying hobby, you'll gain a name as one of the most talented artists in your circle. You'll also attract lots of romantic attention as a result.
  .
Taurus (Apr21/May21) Your partner has been lavishing you with lots of attention. Why resist their advances? Stop using work as an excuse to go to bed late. Those papers can be filed any old time. Put your love life on the front burner. You won't be disappointed. A sensual person like you needs to be satisfied in the bedroom. Sometimes you get so wrapped up in practical matters that you forget your carnal side. Don't make that mistake now, when your amour yearns for you.
  .
Gemini (May22/Jun21) It will be impossible to control your sexual desires; they are positively overwhelming. Mixing business with pleasure is always risky, but you're not worried about getting caught. All you care about is satisfying your urge to merge. Fortunately, it looks like the object of your affection is equally captivated. If you're already in a relationship, try injecting a little more romance into your daily life together. Just because you've settled down doesn't mean your love life has to go south.
  .
Cancer (Jun22/Jul23) This is a lovely time to go out and celebrate with friends. Someone has recently heard good news, and you need to be first in line to congratulate them. Try not to be envious of their situation. There is no limit to the universe's bounty. By entering into the joyous spirit of the occasion, you'll become more attractive to good fortune. Positive energy attracts exciting opportunities. In a few days, you might be the one opening the champagne.
  .
Leo (Jul24/Aug23) Your job prospects will dramatically improve, thanks to a well connected relative. Don't hesitate to ask a loved one to write you a recommendation. Who you know is more important than what you know. Opportunities related to banking, property management, and manufacturing are especially favoured. You may land a job that doesn't afford much creative satisfaction, but it will give you steady pay. Use this income to fund a fabulous trip or art project.
  .
Virgo (Aug24/Sep23) A compelling love affair demands every ounce of your time and attention. If you're going to be obsessed, it may as well be by love! Plan a little mini-break for you and your amour. Keep your whereabouts a secret to avoid any annoying interruptions. Are you single? You will meet someone special in a classroom, library, or bookshop. Someone dressed entirely in black will catch your eye. Wait for them to make the first move. It boosts your ego to be pursued.
  .
Libra (Sep24/Oct23) Making improvements to your home will be satisfying. You have a little more money with which to play. Adding beautiful colours, soft textures, and handsome furnishings to your abode feeds your spirit. You're not the type who can live out of a suitcase. On the contrary, you need a gorgeous home base to feel secure. Of course, you don't have to spend tons of money to achieve a good effect. Write a list of your spending priorities to keep you on budget.

Scorpio (Oct24/Nov22) Your powers of persuasion are very strong. It will be child's play to get a job, discount, or favour. Your voice has a hypnotic effect. The more you talk, the weaker your opponent's resolve will be. Coming to a relative or neighbour's rescue is a smart move. Securing their loyalty now will be helpful in the future. Besides, you enjoy being able to use your resources to benefit those who are nearest and dearest to your heart. Express your generous spirit.
  .
Sagittarius (Nov23/Dec21) You will get good value for your money if you do some research before entering a store or showroom. Play your cards close to your chest, and don't tell a salesperson your price range. Your mission should be getting as much information from them while revealing as little as possible. This is difficult for a brutally honest person like you. Still, it's worth the effort. Treat the whole process like a big experiment. You'll be thrilled with the results.
  .
Capricorn (Dec22/Jan20) At the risk of being a bully, you've got to be assertive. A childhood dream is within your grasp, but you won't reach it unless you voice some demands. People will be shocked by your aggressive behaviour, but they don't have anything at stake. You, on the other hand, have the potential to get an incredible job, go on an overseas trip, or launch a successful business. Do you really want to jeopardise such an opportunity for the sake of being polite?
  .
Aquarius (Jan21/Feb19) Keep your career plans under wraps. The element of surprise will work in your favour. If somebody makes you a job offer, ask for some time to consider it. Refrain from sharing the news with all but your nearest and dearest. Even a well meaning colleague could spill the beans, putting you in an awkward position. Do you work for an extremely private client or customer? Respect their trust by refusing to discuss their business with nosy parkers.
  .
Pisces (Feb20/Mar20) Getting involved with a group of respected experts will boost your own reputation. Going on a large tour will open your eyes to new cultures, cuisines, and customs. You'll have lots of fun exploring an unknown land with friends. You tend to be very shy around strangers, so being surrounded by familiar faces will help you loosen up. Let this be the first in a series of grand adventures together. These people will bring tremendous good fortune to your life.

The stand out film of the 2011 Berlin Film Festival and winner of the Golden Bear, A Separation is a suspenseful and intelligent drama detailing the fractures and tensions at the heart of Iranian society.

Written and directed by Asghar Farhadi, the film boasts a range of superb performances from the ensemble cast who collectively received the Silver Bears for both Best Actor and Best Actress at the Berlinale. The compelling narrative is driven by a taut and finely written script rooted in the particular of Iranian society but which transcends its setting to create a stunning morality play with universal resonance.

When his wife (Leila Hatami) leaves him, Nader (Peyman Moadi) hires a young woman (Sareh Bayat) to take care of his suffering father (Ali-Asghar Shahbazi). But he doesn't know his new maid is not only pregnant, but also working without her unstable husband's (Shahab Hosseini) permission. Soon, Nader finds himself entangled in a web of lies manipulation and public confrontations. A Separation is the first ever Iranian film to be awarded the Golden Bear.

A Separation will be released in the UK on 1 July 2011
