Horoscopes / Teen Deviyan: Tarot prediction by Monisha for 23 May 2011
Russell Grant's Daily Horoscopes for Monday 23rd May 2011
.
Aries (Mar21/Apr20) A plum position is being dangled before you; this is your big chance to make money doing something you love. Endeavours related to art, music and luxury goods are all favoured. The competition for this job will be very intense, so you'll have to push your way to the front of the queue. Fortunately, you're not shy about promoting your talents. Emphasise your work ethic in interviews. Your prospective boss is tired of employees who give up at the first sign of trouble.
.
Taurus (Apr21/May21) You are the undisputed star of the show. Your good looks and sexual magnetism create a powerful cocktail. Take this opportunity to promote your creative work. If you play your cards right, you'll be able to sell it in a gallery, boutique, or store. Looking for work? Set up an interview at a company you've always wanted to join. The sooner you meet, the better the results will be. Finally, first dates are also favoured. Now's the time to ask someone special for a date.
.
Gemini (May22/Jun21) Sneaking off to a private hideaway with your lover is just what you both need. Lately, you've been spending all of your time with big groups of people. Having some quiet time where you can focus on each other will be incredibly therapeutic. If you're single, you could meet someone special at a restaurant, garden, or art studio. If you're happily hitched you will get a new, deeper and enriching experience from time alone with the one you love.
.
Cancer (Jun22/Jul23) Joining an artists' collective will jump start your imagination. You've been blessed with an incredible amount of creative talent. Responsibilities to work and family have prevented you from developing these gifts. Now you've committed yourself to a group endeavour, you'll spend more time on the activities you love. Painting, writing, playing music, inventing recipes…it doesn't matter how you express yourself, so long as you do it.
.
Leo (Jul24/Aug23) You'll be the source of all sorts of professional and romantic interest. Everybody is fascinated with your style, charm and talent. Don't be surprised if you're offered a top position at an art gallery, fashion house, or film company. Alternatively, you may be asked to lend your talents to a gourmet restaurant, florist, or cosmetic company. Ultimately, you will be paid handsomely to create beauty. It will be like earning money to play all day.
.
Virgo (Aug24/Sep23) There's never been a better time to take an overseas trip. If you're willing to leave at the last minute, you'll find a fabulous deal on a luxury hotel. Don't worry about work and family responsibilities. Friends and relatives will be happy to fill in for you while you're away. If you're single, you'll turn heads at your destination. Everyone will find you delightfully exotic. Even a modest person like you can appreciate being a crown jewel, at least for a short time.
.
Libra (Sep24/Oct23) Your love life is red hot! If you're single, you will soon cross paths with an admirer whose smouldering glances make you weak with desire. The two of you will have difficulty keeping your hands off each other, even during the initial phase of your courtship. If you have a lover, you'll enjoy a second honeymoon of sorts. Head for a beauty spot you both enjoy. Making reservations at a luxury hotel will allow you to rest, relax and luxuriate in each other's arms.
.
Scorpio (Oct24/Nov22) Your best friend, lover, or business partner is urging you to take a risk. Although you like to conserve your resources, you also enjoy living on the edge. Taking a gamble on something that speaks to your soul will be thrilling. Even if you don't get the results you want, you'll emerge in a much stronger position. Signing a contract is highly favoured. It will allow you to focus on what you do best, while your partner takes care of details that always annoy you.
.
Sagittarius (Nov23/Dec21) A fantastic job offer is coming your way, but you must accept it immediately. If you don't move fast, a rival will swoop in and snatch it away from you. At long last, you'll be able to hold a steady position that isn't completely stultifying. Not only that, the pay will be really good, helping you afford things that were previously out of reach. There will be an element of glamour involved, so you'll have to spruce up your wardrobe.
.
Capricorn (Dec22/Jan20) True love is making its way into your life. It's astonishing to realise the object of your affection returns your feelings. You're attracted to their impeccable taste, while they're impressed by your leadership ability. Together, you can build a happy, secure life. If you're already in a committed relationship, take this opportunity to do something wildly romantic for your partner. You're a lot more sentimental than you pretend.
.
Aquarius (Jan21/Feb19) This is a great day to buy or sell property, but you're going to have to make a snap decision. Deliberating over the matter will cause the whole proposal to fall through. You're better off taking a leap of faith, even when your inner critic begs for more time. A relative might need to stay with you for a few days while their home undergoes repairs. Go ahead and make room for this visitor. When it comes to your domestic life, the more, the merrier!
.
Pisces (Feb20/Mar20) Friends rally around to make this a special day for you. It's gratifying to know you are loved and appreciated. If you're looking to buy someone a special gift, pay one of your artistic pals to make a painting, photograph, or handcrafted item on their behalf. Keepsakes like these are far more precious than store bought items. Have you put on a few pounds recently? Team up with someone who loves to exercise for early morning walks, runs, or swims.

#havejustwatchedONtv - "The Orphan" starring Isabelle Fuhrman, Vera Farmiga and Peter Sarsgaard.
Sometimes there's nothing scarier than a little kid--and Orphan will introduce us to Esther, one of the scariest of them all. Without much in the way of star power this one's going to be counting on sheer thrills to generate its success.
When a young couple adopts an adorable nine year old girl, she seems downright heaven sent. But this little angel's halo is looking downright crooked--is she as innocent as she seems? Brace yourselves--here comes the trailer!

Melancholia (2011 film)
Plot
The film begins with the destruction of Earth and then jumps back in time. The story will be about two sisters, Justine and Claire (Kirsten Dunst and Charlotte Gainsbourg), who are becoming increasingly distant from each other. There will be a wedding during the first part of the film between Justine and Michael (Alexander Skarsgård). Soon after the wedding Justine becomes melancholic, which makes her stay calm when Earth is threatened by a collision with another planet that has recently emerged from behind the sun, while Claire, on the other hand, becomes fearful of what is to come. Trier has said that he considers all of his previous films to end happily, and that this will be the first with an unhappy ending.,

Plot
Details of the plot released by sources involved in the production have been minimal. It is described as a 1950s period piece. The first official description of the film emerged from foreign sales agent Summit Entertainment's official website on September 21, 2008, in the form of a thematic summary of the film, describing it as "the tale of a Texas boy's journey from the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years as a 'lost soul in the modern world', and his quest to regain meaning in life."
An official synopsis was later released at the 2010 American Film Market:
We trace the evolution of an eleven-year-old boy in the Midwest, Jack, one of three brothers. At first all seems marvelous to the child. He sees as his mother does with the eyes of his soul. She represents the way of love and mercy, where the father tries to teach his son the world’s way of putting oneself first. Each parent contends for his allegiance, and Jack must reconcile their claims. The picture darkens as he has his first glimpses of sickness, suffering and death. The world, once a thing of glory, becomes a labyrinth.
From this story is that of adult Jack, a lost soul in a modern world, seeking to discover amid the changing scenes of time that which does not change: the eternal scheme of which we are a part. When he sees all that has gone into our world’s preparation, each thing appears a miracle precious, incomparable. Jack, with his new understanding, is able to forgive his father and take his first steps on the path of life.
The story ends in hope, acknowledging the beauty and joy in all things, in the everyday and above all in the family—our first school—the only place that most of us learn the truth about the world and ourselves, or discover life’s single most important lesson, of unselfish love.
