SYNOPSIS:
An all new, feature-length documentary chronicling the controversial making of DARK STAR. 'DARK STAR was not a fiery planet, it was a shooting star'. A space parody that would eventually form a lifelong rift between the two genre giants... who would eventually go on to change the way horror films are made.

Featuring interviews with actor Brian Narelle (Doolittle), cinematographer Doug Knapp (cinematographer on STAR TREK: VOYAGER), art director Tommy Lee Wallace (director of HALLOWEEN III & Stephen King's IT), visual effects artists Ron Cobb (ALIEN & BACK TO THE FUTURE), visual effects supervisor Bill Taylor (BLADE RUNNER & CAPE FEAR), voice artist Cookie Knapp, film distributor Jack Harris (producer of THE BLOB), Diane O'Bannon, USC alumni/director Jeff Burr (director of TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE III), and director John Carpenter.

Russell Grant's Daily Horoscopes: Wednesday 27th April 2011

.
Aries (Mar21/Apr20) It's pretty certain you will lose an argument but this won't stop you from voicing your objections. It was always clear that a senior colleague or more powerful person would have the last say. There are a number of reasons why you're being controversial. You need to know people are aware of your doubts. You want everyone to remember how against this idea you are and you are certain that in the future your views will be proved right.
 .
Taurus (Apr21/May21) If your hunches lead you in a direction away from the general hub of activity, go with them. Some interesting background developments are going on and a variation to your usual working hours is possible. All because you are one of the few people who decide to remain behind the scenes. The chance to have something different to do with your time should be pursued. Even if this means keeping a secret from those you usually work or mix with.
 .
Gemini (May22/June21) A deal you were expecting to seal might be off and you won't have a clue why or what has got in the way. Someone's secretive behaviour will make you suspect there has been some behind the scenes manipulation. There is certainly no shame in trying to find out what has been going on but it is unlikely anyone will give you any useful information. What you will get out of this experience is the realisation that promises should not just be accepted orally but should be put on paper immediately.
 .
Cancer (June22/July23) You aren't the only one who is anxious about events when something you are involved in has never been tried before. You're inclined to take a step back and leave others to it even if you know they are relying on your support. Instead of giving in to doubt, put on a brave face and help everyone through this. You will feel better once you get over a few minor hurdles and realise you had no reason to be so nervous.
 .
Leo (July24/Aug23) Other people may be content to remain buried under a pile of routine responsibilities but not you. It isn't often you feel so restless but the feeling can't be ignored. It's important for you to break out of your usual everyday rut. This mood is sure to impress someone like the boss who was starting to think you could not be imaginative. You might also be thinking about a trip to a spot off the beaten track. So don't waste this golden opportunity.
 .
Virgo (Aug24/Sept23) Attending a seminar could give you a fascinating insight into new technology and how you can get the best out of it. There are gadgets which could save you time and effort that you hadn't realised existed. It will take a wee while to get used to a very different way of tackling your work and other interests but it will be worth it. Someone who is stuck in their ways will take a negative view of all this. You understand their apprehension.
 .
Libra (Sept24/Oct23) Curb your impatience if you aren't happy with the progress of a joint effort. Should anyone think you aren't happy with their performance, they will take umbrage and this could lead to even more delay. If you really want to speed things up you may have to do this through subtle means. Suggest you take over jobs other people seem to be struggling with. Drop hints that you know someone who might help with this work.
 .
Scorpio (Oct24/Nov22) Brace yourself for some form of upheaval; there won't be much chance of getting on with your original plans. A difference of opinions or faulty equipment will cause some tension and some people will decide it's about time changes were made to regular routines. You can help those who are finding the situation stressful by encouraging everyone to smooth over their differences. Once good feelings are restored it will be easier to work on a compromise.
 .
Sagittarius (Nov23/Dec21) A person recently out of school may need advice on how they should be taking some concerns more seriously. Their laid back attitude could be causing too many problems and you can sense there are people who won't put up with their behaviour for much longer. You would like to think they don't know any better and with the right support, they will change their outlook and attitude. Persuading a younger person to pitch in without complaining won't be easy.
 .
Capricorn (Dec22/Jan20) A household argument could have something to do with friends of the family. Someone is spreading a rumour that is so outrageous others actually believe it to be true. A friend you trusted isn't as loyal as you thought. It will be outside influences causing domestic upsets. You will only get your wires crossed if you allow this matter to cause ructions in the family. Loved ones are not to blame for this incident and instead of making accusations you should all agree it's time to close ranks.
 .
Aquarius (Jan21/Feb19) Words can and will be misconstrued and misunderstandings are the inevitable result. Double check all emails and text messages you write today as there is a high chance someone will read things the wrong way. If you have any doubt about sending them, don't! If you instinctively feel there is someone you should avoid, trust this feeling. It won't last for very long but you sense something is in the air. The best and easiest way to avoid mix ups and muddles is to stay in the background.
 .
Pisces (Feb20/Mar20) You may have been caught in something of a financial rut. Some well founded worries about security have stopped you from seeking pastures new. Tension and tedium brought on through the frustration of not being able to pursue new goals is coming to a head. You now reach a stage where a change is absolutely essential. Although there's still a lot to work out and details are yet to be finalised, a conversation with an adventurous friend will jolt you into action.
