#Yemen - facing severe food insecurity: Al Jazeera English

Some 2.8 million Yemenis have been displaced by the civil war, and 80 percent of that population needs humanitarian aid, according to the UN.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is to meet Yemen's warring sides in Kuwait in a bid to find a solution to end the conflict - but for many Yemenis, a lack of food and aid is compounding an already dire situation.

Al Jazeera’s Bernard Smith reports.

Heroin addiction in the US has been climbing at an alarming rate over the past decade, but now the health authorities are facing a new crisis.

Fentanyl, a synthetic painkiller said to be a hundred times stronger than heroin, is increasingly turning up on the streets.

According to the Massachusetts Department of Health, more than half of all opioid-related deaths last year involved fentanyl.
