Spanish Boy

USA - Former House speaker Newt Gingrich Wins South Carolina Republican Primary

Published on Jan 21, 2012 by
Newt Gingrich has won the South Carolina Republican primary. The former House speaker has defeated former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney to gain the victory in a dramatic turnaround from his earlier, poor showings in Iowa and New Hampshire. (Jan. 21)

Russell Grant's Daily Horoscopes for Sunday 22nd January 2012

.
Aries (Mar21/Apr20) Your dynamic personality makes you a popular figure. Unfortunately, all of your socialising will make a big dent in your budget. If you long for company, invite people over to your place, and have them bring their favourite dish. You can have just as much fun in the comfort of your own home as you can at an expensive restaurant. Don't be surprised if you're asked to take the helm of a club or volunteer organisation. Consider whether you can afford to devote so much time to this group.
  .
Taurus (Apr21/May21) A serious case of cabin fever prompts you to venture out of your home. Be careful about spreading yourself too thin. Devote your time to people and activities that energise you. Stop pretending to enjoy loud, boisterous outings. You fare much better in small groups. An executive will ask you to perform some work for them on an impossibly tight deadline. Don't take the bait. If you need more time, ask for it. There's no point in putting yourself in an impossible position just for exposure.
  .
Gemini (May22/Jun21) Friends can lend you the gadgets you need to complete a project. Don't pretend to be better off than you really are. There's no shame in admitting you require help. Everybody is struggling in one form or another. By banding together, you'll be able to accomplish everything you want. Be ready to offer your services to a friend who lacks writing talent. Crafting some pieces for their website or blog will bring you favourable publicity. It will also strengthen your friendship.
  .
Cancer (Jun22/Jul23) Your needs are very different from those of your friends. Getting intellectual stimulation is critical to your happiness. Visiting an exotic country will put you on a new path. Your loved ones will find this journey threatening, because it takes you far from them. While it's flattering to be needed, you do resent their interference. What do they care if you crave adventure? Of course, you should take safety precautions. You're not the type to take stupid risks.
  .
Leo (Jul24/Aug23) An unexpected legacy is coming to you, making it easier to afford the luxuries you crave. Don't make the mistake of wasting this money on flashy status symbols. Instead, chose artwork, furnishings, and clothes that are a true reflection of your style. It doesn't matter if these things are out of fashion. You're a true original, and can't be bothered to follow fads. Your boss might call and ask you to come into the office. Be ready to refuse; your time off should be sacred.
  .
Virgo (Aug24/Sep23) An unusual partnership gives you time for the people and activities you love. You have to admit, it's difficult to break away from work. You're so conscientious that you often forsake leisure for duty. Stop this trend now, while so many exciting diversions are available. Abandoning yourself to pleasure and romance will give you a new lease on life. Don't get discouraged if you aren't granted admission to an impressive cultural institution. There will be other chances.
  .
Libra (Sep24/Oct23) A legal decision is rendered in your favour, allowing you to focus on more interesting matters. Don't put all of your eggs in one basket regarding work. If you're in a dead end job, cast your eye around for something else. A high powered relative will be able to offer you a steady position that affords lots of creative expression. Granted, the pay won't be impressive, but at least the work will be enjoyable. What's more important; making money or being happy?
  .
Scorpio (Oct24/Nov22) A great work assignment will fall into your lap. Be sure to seize this opportunity quickly, or a rival will steal it away. Your romantic or business partner won't be happy with this turn of events. They will feel as if they've been left out of the loop. Actually, that's a good thing for your relationship. The two of you shouldn't always be in each other's pockets. By giving yourselves room to breathe, you'll build a better union.
  .
Sagittarius (Nov23/Dec21) A steamy flirting session lights your fire. It's nice to know you've still got it. Beware of mixing business with romance. If you're attracted to a colleague, keep things light. You don't want to lose a job over a casual fling. Have you developed serious feelings for them? You might want to find a different position. Decide what is really important to you. It's always a pain when your private and public lives collide, but sometimes it can't be helped.
  .
Capricorn (Dec22/Jan20) An unexpected visitor brings a breath of fresh air to your home. You have to admit it's fun catching up and showing your friend around town. If you have to postpone some work, so be it. Sometimes it takes an extraordinary experience to get you out of a rut. Take a child's promises with a pinch of salt. You'll have to monitor their progress closely to keep them on track. The more vigilant you are, the faster this child will surmount a serious hurdle.
  .
Aquarius (Jan21/Feb19) Good news from a relative or neighbour causes you to breathe a sigh of relief. You'd hate to admit it, but you have a tremendous emotional attachment to your nearest and dearest. Don't spend a lot of money on a household repair. You're better off letting the damage stand while you do some price comparisons. With a little searching, you'll find a reputable company who can do the work at a fair price. Protect your interests; nobody else will do it for you.
  .
Pisces (Feb20/Mar20) A friend puts you in line with a promising job. This position will afford you a greater measure of freedom. It will be such a relief to escape the prying eyes of a micromanager. You should perfect your interviewing skills before applying. Just knowing someone at the top of the organisation won't guarantee employment. Find a way to promote yourself without sounding like a braggart. Take the advice of someone who has lots of experience hiring people for their employer.

Madagascar - Former president Marc Ravalomanana denied entry to country

Published on Jan 21, 2012 by
http://www.euronews.net/ Madagascar's former president Marc Ravalomanana has failed in his attempt to return home after his plane was refused entry to the country's airspace.

According to the airline, a subsidiary of South African Airways, the flight was forced to go back to Johannesburg from where it had taken off four hours earlier.

Supporters of the ex president blame Madagascar's interim leader Andry Rajoelina, who toppled him in 2009.

Germany - legal threat to stop Hitler memoir extracts "The Unreadable Book".

Published on Jan 21, 2012 by
http://www.euronews.net/ A British publisher is controversially planning to publish excerpts of Hitler's memoir "Mein Kampf" in Germany, along with a critical commentary.

But the state of Bavaria, which holds the copyright, is threatening legal action to prevent publication of "The Unreadable Book".

"It's not like the German perspective. The British perspective would be... if this is something you don't like, you don't hide it and hope it goes away, you confront it, you discuss it, you criticise it," said Peter McGee, Head of Albertas Ltd, the publisher.

USA - Another primary test for presidential hopefuls in South Carolina

Published on Jan 21, 2012 by
http://www.euronews.net/ In South Carolina polls opened in the primary which could determine the republican candidate to challenge President Obama in November's election. The state is deeply conservative and since 1980 the winner of this ballot has gone on to take the party's nomination.

Mitt Romney topped the polls in the New Hampshire primary but he has lost ground in what has become a bitter personal campaign in the run up to this ballot. He has said the race is now "neck and neck".

Italy - Concordia Cruise liner search 'will continue till no-one's left'

Published on Jan 21, 2012 by
http://www.euronews.net/ The search of the wreck of the Costa Concordia began again at dawn on Saturday, a week after the cruise liner came to grief on the rocks off Italy's Tuscan coast.

Work was suspended on Friday after the vessel shifted slightly on its rocky ledge.

The delay has further complicated the work of divers who have already been hampered by poor visibility, floating objects and underwater debris.
.
Fears of oil spill amid plans to pump cruise liner
Published on Jan 21, 2012 by
http://www.euronews.net/ Emergency teams are battling to prevent the Costa Concordia from causing major pollution in one of the least spoilt parts of the Mediterranean.
There are fears that if the ship moves further down the rocks or sinks, fuel tanks may rupture causing a catastrophic oil spill.

High-tech equipment has detected movement of only a few millimetres an hour. It is not clear whether the sensors are detecting vibrations as the ship settles on the rocks, or whether the liner is being dragged off the reef.

Falklands - UK and Argentina in new war of words over Island

Published on Jan 21, 2012 by
http://www.euronews.net/ Tensions are again mounting between Argentina and Britain over the Falkland Islands, in the run-up to the 30th anniversary of the brief war the two countries fought over sovereignty.

At a small demonstration outside the British Embassy in Buenos Aires, the Socialist Workers Movement denounced the British Prime Minister David Cameron, who has accused Argentina of being "much more than colonialist" in asserting its claims.

Argentina wants Britain to negotiate sovereignty at the UN; London refuses.

Iraq - Hostage's body returned to UK embassy embassy in Baghdad after 5 years after being abducted by Shi'ite militia

Published on Jan 21, 2012 by
http://www.euronews.net/ The body of British security guard Alan McMenemy has been handed over to the UK's embassy in Baghdad, almost five years after his abduction in Iraq.

The remains of three other British bodyguards seized by the same Shi'ite Muslim militia in the Iraqi capital were returned in 2009. The men were killed when they tried to escape, according to the cleric who heads the group.

Only a computer expert kidnapped with them at Iraq's Finance Ministry in May 2007 was released alive.

Greece - debt swap talks drag into the weekend

Published on Jan 21, 2012 by
http://www.euronews.net/ Greece's private creditors say a crucial deal to slash the country's debt is coming together. But no agreement was reached on Friday and talks with Greek Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos will continue over the weekend.

With bankruptcy looming in March, Athens needs to secure a debt swap in which private creditors are being asked to take a loss on their bondholdings.

If the deal is completed properly, with comprehensive participation, analyst Nikos Christodoulou of Merit Securities does not believe that danger exists

Google’s Miss Shocks the Bulls: What’s Ailing the Search Giant? Our opinion below

Lack of education, good manners and public relations

should investors short google?

Our Google AdSense account has been disabled

It is important for a site displaying AdSense to offer significant value to the end user by providing unique and relevant content, and not to place ads on sites with little to no original content. Additionally, Google ads may not be placed on non-content-based pages.

We have worked very hard on our blogs to bring you content which we think will be of interest to you often working more than 8 hours a day 7 days a week and this is the thanks that we get from Google.

We have not engaged in any of these practices for which we are accused of

* Make pages for users, not for search engines.
* Don't employ cloaking or sneaky redirects.
* Don't load pages with irrelevant words.
* Don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content.
* Don't participate in link schemes designed to increase your site's ranking or PageRank.
* Avoid "doorway" pages created just for search engines, or other "cookie cutter" approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no original content.
* Avoid tricks intended to improve search engine rankings. A good rule of thumb is whether you'd feel comfortable explaining what you've done to a website that competes with you. Another useful test is to ask, "Does this help my users? Would I do this if search engines didn't exist?" (Yes but Google´s blog search engine here did not work so we had to remove it. You Tube asks third parties to embed which is what we do to present the news in an easy way to navigate and to present it in an impartial way. One publisher can be very biased in their reporting which we are not)
* If your site participates in an affiliate program, make sure that your site adds value. Provide unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit your site first.

As a result, your AdSense account has been disabled.

We now must reconsider as to whether or not to give up publishing after more than 15 years
We did not renew our domain www.itccommunications.net in October as we had evidence that affiliate programs were scamming their affiliates

Google
publishers who have breached this agreement may not receive further payment. The earnings on your account will be returned to the affected advertisers (will they?)
