Russia denies Ukraine's claims to have reached permanent Donbass ceasefire deal


3/9/2014 A spokesperson for Vladimir Putin has denied claims made on Wednesday morning by the office of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko that the two men had agreed a “permanent ceasefire” in Ukraine's eastern Donbass region. Initially Poroshenko's office released a statement claiming: "Mutual understanding was achieved concerning the steps which will enable the establishment of peace." Ukraine says ceasefire deal reached with Russia

3/9/2014 Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko's office says he's reached an agreement with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on a permanent ceasefire in eastern Ukraine's Donbass region. But Putin's press secretary says while the two men agreed on steps towards peace, Russia can not agree a ceasefire because it's not a party to the conflict.
