http://www.euronews.net/ Many Americans have been trying to shake off the economic gloom, flocking to major stores overnight for the traditional 'Black Friday' sales.

Some stores opened at midnight, earlier than usual in a bid to attract post-Thanksgiving bargain hunters for what is seen as the traditional beginning of the US Christmas shopping season.

A third of all consumers are predicted to shop today; more than 150 million Americans are expected to hit the stores this weekend.

Cairo's Tahrir Square will again be the focal point as demonstrators gather to urge a new constitution and an immediate transition from military to civilian rule.

They want to provoke a turning point in eight day of rallies amid clashes with security forces that have left more than 40 people dead.

People will only leave the square when they retrieve their dignity, said protester Saber Saad. "We are suffering. People are struggling for food."

وميدان التحرير في القاهرة مرة أخرى أن النقطة المحورية والمتظاهرين يتجمعون للحث على دستور جديد والانتقال الفوري من الحكم العسكري الى الحكم المدني.

انهم يريدون إثارة نقطة تحول في ثمانية ايام من المسيرات وسط اشتباكات مع قوات الامن التي ادت الى مقتل اكثر من 40 قتيلا.

وقال المتظاهر سعد صابر الناس سوف تترك الساحة فقط عندما استرداد كرامتهم. "نحن نعاني، والناس يكافحون من أجل الغذاء".

And, inspired by the thousands in Cairo's Tahrir Square, demonstrators also took to the streets of the northeastern city of Ismailia, on the Suez Canal.

There, dozens of people were arrested as military police moved in to disperse the crowds.

But their protests, launched more than six months ago, have often ended in violence and the latest demonstrations were no different.

Security forces used water cannon and tear gas as clashes broke out with a number of youths who hurled rocks and other objects at police. Dozens of arrests were reported.

He is accused of making a video that glorified the murders and mocked the victims. The film was found on a memory stick in a house that had been used by gang members. The killings have shocked the nation and caused intense debate, with some politicians accusing authorities of trying to gloss over the extent of neo-Nazism in the country.
