Online sales slumping? Affiliate Networks worried?

I have just received this e-mail from one of our slave masters. As I have mentioned before when we were members of affiliate programs with BeFree we had sales. WhenCJ tookover BeFree the merchants that migated from BeFree to CJ we saw no sales. We had a very high click thru rate, above the market industry with these merchants at BeFree but terrible with CJ. Perhaps it is Commission Junction that is doing something wrong?
Or is it the credit crisis hitting sales on the internet? Really I am not worried - I am tired of being a slave to these networks!

ear john,

You are receiving this email because we are concerned that your Commission Junction publisher account has not generated any valid commissions (from payable transactions) recently. We encourage you to begin earning commissions as quickly as possible. Otherwise, your publisher account is at risk of deactivation due to dormancy. Please see the Commission Junction Publisher Service Agreement for further explanation.

Accounts deactivated for dormancy are eligible for voluntary reactivation with Commission Junction, but you must re-establish any previous relationships with your advertisers. After reactivation, you are ready to redevelop your publisher business and begin actively promoting offers within the CJ Marketplace.

Of course, we would much rather see your publisher account actively earning commissions. If you would like some information on strategies and tips for doing so, please log in to the CJ Account Manager and click on the CJU Online link for helpful resources.

If you have any further questions regarding this or other issues, please use the Ask a Question feature available by selecting the Contact Us link available in your CJ Account Manager.

Regards,
Client Support

Networks Solutions reply

Please be informed that multiple expiration notices were sent to you by Network Solutions prior to, and after the domain name registration expired to the e-mail address on file which is itccommunications@RAN.ES.

Why did RAN.ES not forward these to the owner of the domain who has paid the fees for the last 11 years?

Why does RAN.ES not reply to his e-mails or return his phone calls?

Not happy with Network Solutions Service

Renew this Domain

If you are the current registrant for this domain name and wish to continue the registration on the domain, you must immediately contact the domain name provider and renew the domain name to ensure the name is not deleted.

Renew Now

*Once a domain name has been renewed, it may take up to 48 hours to be reactivated.

Dear Sirs

We renewed this domain online 5 years ago being an affiliate of Networks Solutions for many years now. At the time there was no way on the website to advise you of our change of address from Torremolinos Spain to our current address ......... Villanueva del Rosario Malaga Spain obviously due to the bad design of the website

We went to renew our domain on or about the 14th of this month and found this box

You have to date never sent us the USER ID nor a password so how can we renew it. Last Saturday we phoned our server in Madrid (...@ran.es) that registered the domain for us in the first instance and requested that they renewed it for another year so we were a bit surprised when we got the above message. We have phoned them again this evening to ask what is going on.

It is evident that the fault is your companys and possibly our server provider for not having carried out our instructions last saturday and in writing. We await your advice at the earliest opportunity and trust that the site will be operative as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully

This begs the question should Networks Solutions have the monopoly over domain registration?

Affiliate Programs - we are not slaves!

I keep on getting this e-mail but will not follow the instructions. They chose to move from BeFree Network. We did earn some money from this network, but since merchants moved to other networks we have not earned anything. Makes you wonder about the tracking?
