Pero la pérfida soberana ignora que un cazador (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) cuya misión era matarla, ha enseñado a la joven a defenderse. Sam Clafin (Piratas del Caribe: en mareas misteriosas) se une al reparto en el papel del príncipe hechizado por la belleza y el poder de Blancanieves.
Esta nueva e insólita versión del legendario cuento está producida por James Roth (Alicia en el país de las maravillas) y Sam Mercer (El sexto sentido), y dirigida por el aclamado y vanguardista realizador publicitario Rupert Sanders.
