Russell Grant's Daily Horoscopes Wednesday 5th January 2011

.

Aries (Mar21/Apr20) Help from unseen sources is on the way. You're excited to tackle a new opportunity that will put you before the public in some way. This position will take you far from home, but you'll find the change refreshing. Friends won't be happy about your absence, but anyone who begrudges you the chance to climb the ladder of success doesn't belong in your social circle. Going on job interviews, first dates and auditions will yield impressive fruit. It's time to put your best foot forward.
 .
Taurus (Apr21/May21) You're being celebrated for your accomplishments and rightly so. Getting paid to share your knowledge will be a huge ego boost. It's gratifying to know others appreciate the depth and breadth of your expertise. Teaching classes will expand your social network in exciting ways. You're about to make friends with a technologically savvy group who can help spread word of your talent. Launching a website or designing some brochures is strongly advised. All advertising endeavours pay off handsomely, provided they include strong visuals.
 .
Gemini (May22/Jun21) Heads turn in unison when you enter the room; it's impossible to ignore your charms. You're different from anyone else, which is why you are everybody's favourite flavour. Don't fall victim to critics who want you to tone down your behaviour. They're just threatened by your unique ability to command attention. A big cheque is coming your way, allowing you to buy a new computer, phone, or PDA. Instead of worrying about the cost consider how it can be used to promote your talent.
 .
Cancer (Jun22/Jul23) A business or romantic partnership allows you to spread your wings and fly. Be sure to accept an opportunity to study, travel, or teach. Your friend will be happy to assume your responsibilities while you are away. In the past, you were always the one who kept operations afloat while others were too busy attending to emergencies. Now it's your turn to do something different. A self improvement programme is paying off in ways you never expected. It's gratifying to be in so much demand.
 .
Leo (Jul24/Aug23) You race through work like a hot knife through butter. This is the perfect time to finish up all those chores that have been piling up on your desk. Take this opportunity to catch up on emails, phone messages and texts; several people are anxiously waiting to hear from you. Your partner will receive an unexpected raise or inheritance, giving you more money for luxuries. Put part of this sum towards tuition. Getting an advanced degree will be a worthwhile labour of love.
 .
Virgo (Aug24/Sep23) You attract admirers like a flower draws bees. If you're already in a relationship, your partner will give you a pleasant surprise in the form of a gift or holiday. They might even get a job that allows you to stay home and develop your creative talent. Working with clay, fabric, wood, or any other tactile material only enhances your charms. The time has come to expand your sexual horizons. Act out a fantasy with your lover or get a more alluring wardrobe.
 .
Libra (Sep24/Oct23) You have strong feelings about the past; you want to lead a radically different life from the one your family did. Integrating beauty, music and poetry into your daily round is critical to your happiness. Don't worry what people think. You have to follow your own heart in this matter. You've been blessed with fabulous taste and will gain favourable publicity for it quite soon. Don't be surprised if someone asks you to design a store window, book cover, or website.
 .
Scorpio (Oct24/Nov22) A short trip will put you on the path to romance. The object of your affection will be quite different from any lover you've had in the past. Maybe this is why you're so attracted; the prospect of exploring new territory is thrilling. A court case will be decided in your favour, giving you lots more leisure time. Throw a big party for friends. It's been too long since you've let your hair down with your nearest and dearest. Resist the urge to retreat to some private corner.
 .
Sagittarius (Nov23/Dec21) Standing up for your principles strengths your moral authority at home. Children are especially anxious for your guidance. If they see you standing up for what's right, they'll follow your example. This might land them in hot water from time to time, but it's important for them to stand on their own two feet. Money from an inheritance, refund, or dividend will allow you to put a deposit on a house near the water. Be sure to follow a creative impulse.
 .
Capricorn (Dec22/Jan20) Your leadership ability attracts an attentive audience. People are anxious for somebody to take the helm of an unwieldy project. You're able to delegate tasks in a brisk, efficient way that brings maximum benefit to a great number of people. Yes, you'll have some detractors, but it's inevitable for someone in your position. The chance to acquire a beautiful piece of property will fall in your lap quite suddenly. Get ready to spring, or a rival will steal your thunder.
 .
Aquarius (Jan21/Feb19) An unusual moneymaking opportunity allows you to work from home. It's a relief to escape the office politics that plagued you in the past. You think better when left to your own devices. The results of a health program are paying off. Suddenly people and organisations that didn't give you a second glance are beating a path to your door. Never underestimate the importance of a polished, professional appearance. Learning new things will give you the intellectual stimulation you crave.
 .
Pisces (Feb20/Mar20) People appreciate your ability to think on your feet. You don't keep friends waiting while you deliberate over a decision. That's probably why you've been asked to take the helm of a large group. Members can depend on you to move the proceedings forward, especially when there are deadlines involved. Put the finishing touches on a creative project. This masterpiece will bring the fame and acclaim you desire. Several paying opportunities will result; exciting changes are on the move!
