Saudi Arabia says a vital pipeline carrying oil from its eastern fields to the Red Sea port of Yanbu has been temporarily shut down after being struck by several drones launched from Iraq, causing injuries and damage. Abdulaziz Alghashian of the Gulf International Forum says Saudi Arabia is likely to pursue a multilateral response, potentially involving partners such as Turkey and Pakistan, as it weighs how far regional and international allies are willing to go. Ben Cahill of the Atlantic Council's Global Energy Center says losing the pipeline is a serious blow to Saudi Arabia's ability to bypass the Strait of Hormuz, warning that oil prices are likely to rise further if Red Sea access remains under threat.

Today was our first look at the cars on track in anger, and Mercedes has set the pace, with George Russell leading free practice 1, and Kimi Antonelli on the top of the timing sheets in free practice 2. Ferrari seem to be close behind with the other teams a bit further back. A surprise in the top 4 was Arvid Lindblad, before he has his shunt, with the Racing Bulls seemingly easier to drive around the streets of Madrid. Jake Boxall-Legge explains.

Israeli journalists and filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor premiered their documentary ‘NAZA’ at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday, September 10. The film examines the civilian death toll in Gaza and features testimony from intelligence officers and soldiers involved in the war. The documentary takes its title from an Israeli military term referring to expected “collateral casualties” and includes accounts concerning an AI-assisted system used to identify targets from data gathered from thousands of hacked mobile phones. ‘NAZA’ is among 21 films competing for Venice’s Golden Lion, which will be awarded on Saturday. #naza #venicefilmfestival #gaza #israel #documentary #filmfestival

Mass civilian deaths were routinely built into Israeli military targeting decisions in Gaza, according to a Venice Film Festival documentary unveiled on Thursday that challenges official accounts of the war.
"NAZA", directed by Israeli journalists Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, received a 25-minute standing ovation at its premiere, by far the longest of the festival so far this year.
