Israel’s election has ended without a clear winner, with Benjamin Netanyahu’s bloc falling to around 53 seats, far short of the 61 needed for a parliamentary majority, even as Likud remains the largest party. Arab parties have won a record 19 seats, potentially giving the anti-Netanyahu camp a path to 61, but opposition leaders reject relying on Arab-party support, while Avigdor Liberman pushes for a unity government that Benny Gantz’s former ally Gadi Eisenkot refuses to join under Netanyahu. #israel #netanyahu #likud #liberman #eisenkot #israelelection
Israel’s Central Elections Committee has updated the interim results, after counting 94.4% of the votes. Netanyahu’s bloc remains at 53 seats, Gadi Eisenkot’s bloc has gone up to 48 seats and the Arab-led parties, the Joint List and Ra’am, now stand at 19 seats. 🔴 More on https://t.co/GEG7e0OZZB
