Telefonica (TEF.MC) Europe´s second largest telecoms company after Vodafone (VOD.L), reported a 30.8% gain in net profit to 10.17 billion euros. Weakness in its home market Spain., with 20% unemployment, was offset by strong growth in the rest of Europe and in Latin America. Revenue was up 7.1% to 60.7 billion euros. Telefonica is Spain´s largest company by capitalization. The shares are currently 18.27 euros + 1.42%
