Greece - Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos will run unopposed for the leadership of the Socialist PASOK party.

Venizelos now looks certain to become leader in an internal ballot on March 18, replacing former prime minister George Papandreou..

However, winning the next parliamentary election  will be far harder with PASOK currently behind the conservatives in the polls.
