After being rendered obsolete and dismissed by British intelligence due to changing geopolitics, Palmer is recruited in St. Petersburg by Alex, a powerful Russian mobster.

Alex hires him to retrieve a deadly biochemical weapon known as the Red Death, which has been stolen.
