22/9/2014 More than 100,000 Syrian Kurdish refugees have fled to Turkey since Friday to escape the advance of Islamic State militants. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has been defending a new law, rushed through parliament, which gives limited self-rule and an amnesty to pro-Russian separatists.
