http://www.euronews.net/ Spanish airline Iberia has cancelled hundreds of flights due to fresh pilot strikes on Monday and Wednesday in protest at plans to launch a new, low-cost carrier.
More than two hundred short- and medium-haul routes have been scrapped.
Iberia pilots believe management will hire pilots for the no-frills Iberia Express on much lower salaries, which will eventually threaten their own jobs.
The new unit will start flying from April.
