Boney M lead singer Bobby Farrell found dead in his Petersburg hotel room whilst on tour in Russia

Bobby Farrell, the former frontman for the hit-making group Boney M, died while on tour in Russia, his agent said. Farrell was 61 years old.

John Seine, according to The Associated Press, said the musician was found dead in his St. Petersburg hotel room by staff members Thursday night after failing to answer a wake-up call.


Seine said Farrell had performed Wednesday but had complained of breathing problems before and after the gig.
