Gaza battered by another night of Israeli airstrikes - More civilians killed

17/7/2014 - Gaza ceasefire: four palestinian boys killed in shelling, Israel reports mortar fire

And the killing of civilians goes on - get the Israelis out of the settlements and you may see peace in the area

.
In a civilized country the murderers of the 3 Israeli teenagers would hunted down and brought to trail as would and has been done in the case of the Palestinian teenager that was murdered in retaliation. What was the trigger for the Hamas rockets?  Was it Israel attacking Gaza first?

According to the IDF, more than 30 rockets were fired in a major escalation earlier on Monday 7 July which struck major cities Ashdod and Ashkelon. Four rockets were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome  missile defense system and 16 landed in open areas near Beersheba. According to Israeli media reports, more that 70 projectiles were fired at Israel.

What is the cost to the Israeli taxpayer of this offensive? To date no Israeli has been killed, just the nuisance of air raids. Rockets have been fired from Lebanon and maybe next they will come from Syria. Who knows.
Is the Israeli offensive justified or necessary? In Europe I do not think this sort of thing would have happened.

.
Just as 18-year-old Londoner Erin (Foy) sets off to spend summer in Israel with her best friend, Eliza (Weeks), she unearths an old diary belonging to her seriously ill grandfather, Len (Cooke). Intrigued by the life of this old man she barely knows, she takes the diary with her, and is stunned to learn of his part in the post-WWII British peace-keeping force in what was then Palestine.
.
Left to her own devices when Eliza begins National Service in the Israeli army, Erin witnesses the complexities of life--for both Jews and Arabs--in this troubled land. And as Len's story comes to life from the pages of the diary, Erin discovers the disturbing truths about his time in Palestine and the atrocities he witnessed in the 1940s.

Retracing Len's steps in modern-day Israel, Erin sets out on a heart-breaking journey in an effort to understand and fulfil a promise made by her grandfather over 60 years ago.

Ron Paul

Israel's critics and enemies will see the United States as the side to be blamed for the ongoing violence in the Gaza Strip, believes Congressman Ron Paul. He says the US should review its unconditional support of the Jewish state.

the other side - we try to be imparial in our attempt to improve the world

1. Why do Hamas militants send missiles into Israel? If we can provide a means to stop this grievance then we might be able to stop these missile attacks

2. What has been the cost of the Israeli military attack on Gaza? Could Israel, with their friendship and contact with the USA not have mounted a defense system along the Northern Gaza border which could knock out the militants missiles before they flew over Israeli territory. We are sure this would have been far most cost effective than the current military operations.

3. The cost of Palestinian life - we cannot put a price on this and the killing of Palestinian civilians in a UN school is unacceptable and like the Balkans war the culprits should be brought before the Criminal Court in the Hague.
