G20 summit ends with pledge to boost IMF / US jobs numbers hint at improvement / 'To big to fail' banks named

From: Euronews  | Nov 4, 2011
http://www.euronews.net/ G20 leaders have ended their summit in Cannes after two days dominated by Greek turmoil and the threat to the euro zone and beyond.

Many big issues have been put to one side. Leaders vowed to boost the resources of the International Monetary Fund. But no countries outside the euro zone have agreed to contribute to its bailout fund.

Barack Obama found a positive way to tell Europe to sort out its debt crisis.

http://www.euronews.net/ US employment rose less than expected in October with 80,000 new hires whereas economist had expected 95,000.

The US economy has to add around 125,000 jobs each month to keep unemployment from rising.

However job gains in the two previous months were better than originally calculated by a total of 102,000 which suggested some improvement in the still-weak US labour market.

http://www.euronews.net/ At the Cannes summit of the world's leading economies, 29 banks have been named as being so important to the global financial system that they are likely to need to hold more capital reserves than their rivals.

Leaders said they will have to put in place a plan to allow them to be wound up without taxpayer help if they hit trouble.

Seventeen are from Europe, eight from the US, and just four from Asia

Why Democracy: Russia's Village of Fools - BBC 4

Aired: Tuesday 9th October 2007 Russia's Village of Fools. (Alternative Title: For God, Tsar and Fatherland). Part of the "Why Democracy" series. Info: "Mikhail Morozov is a Russian patriot, good Christian and successful businessman. He owns Durakovo - the "Village of Fools" - 100 km southwest of Moscow. People come here from all over Russia to learn how to live and become 'true' Russians. When they join the Village of Fools, the new residents abandon all their former rights and agree to obey Mikhail Morozov's strict rules. "What we have here is a society that respects the vertical of power, this is what our country needs most of all," says Morozov quoting his idol President Putin. The whole spectrum of power - political, spiritual and administrative -- is represented in the village and people gather for semi-private meetings with Morozov. They discuss the future of Russia, their ambitions and their goals. For God, Tsar and the Fatherland shows what drives Russian patriotism today and why these citizens are against democracy." Europe - G20 struggles to keep a grip on fast-moving crisis. IMF to monitor Rome as pressure increases on Berlusconi

    From: Euronews  | Nov 4, 2011
http://www.euronews.net/ Nicolas Sarkozy is hoping for some last-minute deals on reforming the global economy, but the dramatic events elsewhere have stolen the agenda.

The French President had high hopes for the G20 summit under his presidency, but Greece is well and truly the word at the Cannes meeting.

With nerves rattled over the surprise twists and turns in the European debt crisis, leaders are struggling to keep a grip on fast-moving events.

    From: Euronews  | Nov 4, 2011
http://www.euronews.net/ European G20 leaders are pushing Italy's Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi to make urgent economic reforms. But perhaps his more pressing issue are his attempts to remain in power.

The International Monetary Fund says Rome has agreed to monitoring of its efforts to meet economic targets.

To implement Italy's reform package Berlusconi has to win next Tuesday's parliamentary vote on the budget. But he is facing a chorus of calls, even from within his own centre-right party, to step down and make way for a new government.

Aries (Mar21/Apr20) Going after your dreams is a daunting prospect. You’re afraid of looking foolish to your friends and family. Ultimately it’s your life. Don’t delay any longer. Make a list of ten things you can do to draw nearer to your goal and then do one thing on that list. This initial move will trigger a whole series of exciting events involving your dream. A big cheque finally arrives helping you finance a long distance trip. Head for a place known for its natural beauty.
     .
Taurus (Apr21/May21) An authority figure or boss is irritating you with their imprecision. You must to know what you should be doing to succeed. Channel your frustrations into a creative project. That way, you’ll be able to have full control over a pleasurable pursuit. A programme of self improvement is starting to pay off. As a result, you’ll be able to establish a respected name in your desired field. Pretty soon, you won’t have to seek out clients; they’ll come to you instead.
     .
Gemini (May22/Jun21) People will judge you on your deeds, not your words. If you want to impress a teacher, double your efforts. Keep reading, practicing and studying. Cut back on your social life so you can gain some traction in your field. Help from a cultural, government, or educational institution helps you put a down payment on a property. This is your chance to put down some roots. There are worse things than having a comfortable home to lend stability to your life.
     .
Cancer (Jun22/Jul23) Unrealistic expectations about love tempt you to make some tactless mistakes Not only is this behaviour dangerous, it will make you miserable. Deep down inside, you want a lasting, loving relationship. If you already have a partner, you may have gotten bored with your bedroom repertoire. It’s up to you to spice things up. Be playful and light hearted when introducing new ways to tickle your lover’s fancy. Refrain from criticising or nagging your partner.
     .
Leo (Jul24/Aug23) Money is going out as quickly as it comes in. You must be a little more disciplined about conserving resources. Instead of buying whatever catches your fancy, make a list of things you want and put it in the order of your priorities. This will prevent you from making impulsive purchases you will later regret. A reward, promotion, or raise will be coming your way making you something of a minor celebrity. Get ready for your photo to appear in a newspaper or magazine.
     .
Virgo (Aug24/Sep23) You’re more determined than ever to put your plans into practice and achieve an ambition. If that means elbowing the competition out of the way, so be it. Channelling restless energy into a sport will keep you focused on what you have to be doing. Resist the urge to overindulge in food or drink. It’s essential to be on your toes to take advantage of an educational or travel opportunity. A health problem that plagued you in the past will flare up again.
     .
Libra (Sep24/Oct23) Friends are pressuring you to be someone you are not. You’re tired of pretending to like certain sports, television programmes and music. Finding people who share your interests is critical to your self esteem. Joining an artistic organisation or house of worship will give you a new lease on life. In the meantime, an inheritance, refund, or dividend gives you a chance to develop your creative talent. This is your chance to become an excellent cook, gardener, or artisan.
     .
Scorpio (Oct24/Nov22) Don’t resort to underhanded measures to get what you want. If your rivals discover these methods, your reputation will be destroyed. It’s better to play by the rules, even if this makes the road to success much longer. Fortunately, your best friend, lover, or business partner is poised to help you toward your goal. Let your friend take over your day to day responsibilities while you focus on your dreams. Take a relative’s promises with a grain of salt.
     .
Sagittarius (Nov23/Dec21) You’re more ambitious than ever. Taking charge of a large group will help you put your leadership skills to use. While you’re not fond of bossing people around, you do have an impressive vision for the future. By taking the helm of this project, you’ll be able to surpass everyone’s expectations. You might even surprise yourself! A time consuming errand comes to a close, enabling you to spend more time on the people and activities you love.
     .
Capricorn (Dec22/Jan20) An unrealistic attitude about money is causing problems in a relationship. One of you is a spender and the other a saver. If the two of you can’t forge a compromise, your mutual affection will vanish into thin air. Money from a legal settlement needs to be put into a savings account immediately. Spending this sum on a lot of flashy status symbols will undermine your future. Sit down together and outline your individual priorities without judgement.
     .
Aquarius (Jan21/Feb19) Your reluctance to make waves is creating problems in an intimate relationship. Instead of deferring to a romantic or business partner, take the lead. An argument may ensue, but that’s probably healthy in the long run. You may not realise it, but constantly suppressing your desires has made you very angry. It’s time to vent your frustrations. A family reunion turns out to be a lot more fun than you expected. Everybody is in a good mood and even the troublemakers will be on their best behaviour.
     .
Pisces (Feb20/Mar20) Your best friend or lover is pushing you to develop your creative talent. In the past, you were happy to paint, dance, write or act as a hobby. Recently you’ve been yearning to show your work to the public. Think about launching a website to highlight your talent. You can always on your loved one for support when your natural shyness threatens to overtake you. By learning to bask in the spotlight, you’ll become more vocal about your wants and needs.

Low from $14.99 to Get Your Fashion Lucky Horoscope Clothes, Saves A Lot. Just Be Quick!
    .
Aries (Mar21/Apr20) You have a flair for the dramatic that is most attractive. People feel as if anything is possible when they're in your company. If you've developed a crush on somebody, now is the time to make your move. It is virtually impossible to resist your persuasions. Are you already in a relationship? Take this opportunity to make a lovely surprise for your amour. A candlelit dinner for two, a beautiful gift of jewellery, or a bouquet of their favourite flowers will fuel your passion for one another.
     .
Taurus (Apr21/May21) If someone were to hold a popularity contest, you would easily win it. Your ability to intuit what makes people tick is very attractive. People don't feel they have to explain themselves to you. Rubbing elbows with creative types fuels your own artistic impulses. Let a friend introduce you to poetry, photography, or dance. With their guidance, you can create works of beauty. Best of all, exercising your imagination will attract the attention of a sexy admirer.
     .
Gemini (May22/Jun21) When looking for work, be sure to emphasise your self sufficiency. An employer needs someone who has the intelligence and initiative to make decisions on their own. You're also very resourceful, making you a valuable addition to an already impressive team. Be willing to accept menial jobs as a means to demonstrate your ability. When colleagues see you will do whatever it takes to deliver a project on time and under budget, they'll put their faith in you.
     .
Cancer (Jun22/Jul23) You're eager to explore unknown territory; psychology has always fascinated you. It's so fascinating to explore the workings of the mind. When it comes to a romantic suitor, your perceptions are right on target. The two of you could have a wonderful life together, provided you are free of entanglements. If you're already in a failed relationship, break things off before embarking on a new relationship. You owe it to your amour to make a fresh start. Sneaking around will debase you both.
     .
Leo (Jul24/Aug23) There's no point in hiding your emotions; they are evident to everyone. You absolutely radiate sex appeal. If you aren't in love now, you soon will be. You will meet someone special at a house of worship, movie theatre, or photography gallery. Keep your eyes open for someone with distinctive footwear. You'll admire their artistic talent, while your amour will appreciate your glamour. The two of you will turn heads wherever you go. It's fun being part of a power couple!
     .
Virgo (Aug24/Sep23) Your negotiation skills are very powerful. This is a wonderful time to hammer out a business deal. Write a list of everything you want, and then circle three things you absolutely need from this arrangement. By seeing these terms in black and white, you'll be able to deliver a forceful argument. Stick to your guns and crack jokes when your talk becomes tense. Eventually, you'll get everything you want, and more. It's just a matter of playing on your opponent's weaknesses.
     .
Libra (Sep24/Oct23) Conscientious behaviour makes you a valued member of the team. Always consider how your behaviour will affect others before you act. If you're looking for a job, seek an opportunity at a humanitarian organisation, house of worship, or cultural centre. The pay won't be fabulous, but the benefits will. Through your association with this group, you'll get all sorts of free tickets, borrowing privileges, and travel opportunities. Eventually, you'll be able to use this position as a springboard to bigger and better things.
     .
Scorpio (Oct24/Nov22) You radiate confidence, which opens plenty of doors. People automatically defer to you, because you seem so sure of your abilities. You're just as insecure as everybody else. You're just smart enough to hide it. This bravado puts you in the path of romance. Someone who has admired you from afar will finally come forward and confess their love. Don't play fast and loose with your admirer's heart. This is a sensitive soul who needs gentle handling.
     .
Sagittarius (Nov23/Dec21) The secret to your success is discipline. As a general rule, you don't take work very seriously, except when it promotes the public welfare. Now you have an opportunity to make life easier for the most vulnerable members of society, and you are not going to squander it. Raising money for a good cause, changing the law, or increasing awareness of a social problem are all ways you can make a difference. Best of all, you can wield power from behind the scenes, where you are most comfortable.
     .
Capricorn (Dec22/Jan20) Joining a club provides the intellectual stimulation you crave. You're tired of trudging along the same old treadmill, day after day. Associating with artistic people will fuel your own creative abilities. Indulge your sensual side by experimenting with colour, texture, and composition. It doesn't matter what medium you choose, so long as it keeps your hands busy. There are lots of creative handicrafts and skills that will speak to your soul.
    .
Aquarius (Jan21/Feb19) You're determined to create an institution of lasting value. It's so tiring watching individuals be thwarted by stupid rules and regulations. To fight this trend, you will bring people together in a spirit of harmony, using their talents to challenge a concentration of power at the top. By working together, you will give underprivileged people a chance to express their imaginations, fulfil their potentials, and increase their education. There's no better use of your time. You are a born revolutionary!
     .
Pisces (Feb20/Mar20) A wonderful chance to expand your horizons won't come again. You've got to grab this bull by the horns. If you're given an opportunity to study, take an overseas trip, or publish a book, grab it. You can always worry about things like childcare and work later on. The important thing is to secure a place before a rival takes it away from you. A legal matter will go your way, provided you keep a file of all of your receipts, correspondence, and activities.

Greece - Vote crucial for Greece and Europe

    From: Euronews  | Nov 3, 2011
http://www.euronews.net/ Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou faces a knife-edge vote of confidence today. It comes after his announcement to hold a referendum on the bailout plan for both Greece and the euro zone, stunned world leaders on Monday.

That plan appears to have back-fired with calls for him to stand down and defections from his party to the extent that he is now in danger of losing the vote if just two of his deputies rebel.

He had earlier agreed to drop the idea of a referendum if he could secure opposition support for the European bailout plan.
